big game without a doubt, i would say more important to wolves than west brom. the baggies are assured a top 6 finish whatever happens, we’re still fighting to secure ours.

i see a tight nervy game, but should have plenty of chances for both sides. i suppose a score draw would be favorite, but either side could win it depending on who wants it bad enough.

a draw wouldn’t be a disaster for either side, but from wolves point of view it’s vital we don’t loose. defeat for us would cost us ground on a play off place, could also effect us mentally in the last few games.

MY HEART SAYS A WOLVES WIN…MY HEAD SAYS SCORE DRAW.

I disagree, playoffs for the boggies would seem to be a dissapointment so the pressure is on them to get a top two spot.
We are at home and so that adds pressure to us. The fans need to be the extra man on Tuesday.

Come on me babbies!! Wolves forever!!

  5. TonyWBA said:

Now I’m getting confused with southbank barmy army’s posts…..Do we have 2 different people????

I did want 4 points from Watford & Wolves which is still on, but I think this may also be a score draw 1-1

  6. CharloBaggie said:

Fair comment above, I reckon a score draw is good all round.

I disagree that it is more important for Wolves to win! If albion dont get into the top two i think it would destroy us mentally!

the thought of having to beat potentially wolves, palace or ipswich seriously worries me!

Alot of wolves fans are expecting to win this but i have a sneaky feeling that the baggies might run away with the spoils! it would not suprise me if we were to win this 3 - 0

    Come on the boys!

  7. we8wba said:

    my heart says wolves
my head says wba if im honest

i think baggies will least score once
and cant see us scoring more than one if i being honest
so baggies should be good for draw at least

lets home for clean game, exciting game either way and a ref who isnt a plonker or uriah rennie which words cant even describe him

  8. WakeyBaggie said:

Given the way the season has panned out it is anyones guess. Our away form has been pretty decent over the last few games so I am hopeful that we can pull it off. A draw pits us back on top but a win would go a long way to securing a top two spot. I think we may have a little to much going forward for the Wolves. If we keep Ebanks-Blake quiet we should win.

  9. mark said:

nice to know you have a head and heart unlike most who blog on here 1-1 is my prediction!!

  10. The Real Bully said:

    1 SBBA.
Doesn’t that feel better. Something we can respond to instead of your usual attempts at wind ups (yes, I know you’re not alone in this but unlike some you’re capable of better.) I think there are so many variables here local derby, promotion nerves, prem ref etc, that any attempt at a forecast is more futile than normal.
I posted the other day saying that I thought Wolves were nailed on for a minimum sixth place. As these things seem to happen all of the chasing pack have hit a winning streak since then.
Probably the defences hold the key, not the most reassuring thought for us. Should be a high scoring game so probably 0-0.
Let’s hope we both go up and then we can carry this on where it matters.

It will be a tough game. If the wolves players can fight togheter and give 110%, the points will stay at Molineux. If not, we lose. If we want it enough, we will win.
    Come on wolves…..

If everyone is having an attack of honesty then the pressure is on Wolves. If they beat the oppostion then it will soften the blow for a disappointing end to a season. Sixth place and out in the semi-final was predicted by moi some months ago, I stand by that. The match tomorrow? 2-1 to us with a controversial penalty decision. Emotion will ensure form will go out of the window, I expect a very physical game with one sending off. And while I’m at it 26-31-32-39-44 and 49.

  15. terryweare2ndbaggie said:

looking at these post me thinks you dingles are getting nervous, boing boing going up the MOWBURY WAY

  16. Cyril Randle said:

Last Saturday Wolves missed out on a certain penalty and we had a perfectly good goal given offside. The extra two points would have eased both teams’ nerves for tomorrow and we might have got an open classic. Now, it’s wobbly knees time.
1 - 1 is most likely, two scrappy, crappy goals.

Lets just hope for a good game, no trouble and the best team to win and hopefully for me thats the gold and black.

  20. NathanWolves said:

I think with Palace winning over the weekend that has put us under slightly more pressure. This is one of our games in hand so we have to take the points. You would have taken 4 points from BC and albion and we still have a shout at this. If we go out to win, albions expansive football will be there demise at fortress molinuex, Wolves to win 3-1! SEB 2 and Matty Jarvis.

  21. southbank barmy army said:

TONYWBA..THE REAL BULLY, hey guys thanks for that. you know me..i love talking football..but love a good wind up too.

and your lot bite so easily it’s untrue!!.. but hey it’s just a giggle no offence intended.

have a good ‘un tomorrow..AND LOOSE!!!! HAHA

  22. Romsley Baggie said:

I think the first goal is crucial. If Wolves get it they will brick the goal up like they did at the Hawthorns and maybe win 1-0 if we get it and they come at us chasing the game it could be 3-1, because lets face it hand on heart we need more than 1 goal to win a game. I’m actually glad this one is at the custard bowl the pressure is all on the home team to come at us which will leave gaps and suit our style of play down to the ground. The wolves fans won’t allow there team to play a defensive game like they do away so that will help us. They will score from a set piece gaurenteed. 2 or 3-1 to the baggies!!!

    Boing Boing nearly there!!!!!!

  23. Bewdley Wolf said:

My prediction is a dull and dour nil nil. Or maybe 6-5, or maybe 2-3, lets face it it could be anything!. Does anyone know details of the road closures in the city centre that were mentioned a while ago? Could be pandemonium at near to kick off time, many people struggle to make kick off at night matches as it is and it will make things much worse if usual parking places are inaccessible.

  24. Redge999 said:

Im going into the game more optimistic than I would have a month ago and I feel it should be a cracking game, having wolves push on should help the baggies and that could play into there hands. We need to bombard them and earn as many set pieces as possible in the final third, we need to hastle and harry and dont give them any time on the ball otherwise there passing if quick and decisive could be they key for there success. Also feel mowbrays team selection is important for them. Who will start upfront?

  25. Eddie Wolf said:

Come on. Going up the McCarthy way. 12th man we must be!

  27. Darby End Wolf said:

Terry - is that lady on the video related to you?

I’m not being cheeky but I was questioning her IQ and the basic understanding of football.

I’m sure she states “it will be 1 all and the Albion will definately win”.

Have they changed the rules slightly for tomorrow night?

  28. BoingBoing666 said:

i was mulling over my prediction last week and thought that should we beat Watford(of which i predicted a 3-0/4-0 win to us) then Tuesdays game will speak for itself but given we have both drew our last results it blows it wide open, both teams are going in on a stalemate and its going to leave a few butterflies in my tummy for sure. really lookin forward to it now! hopefully the hordes wont scrap at the end.

    my prediction……not a clue!

  29. Scottbloke said:

Tough call this game hope we can win as we are at home and need the points, pressure on both teams is massive, doesnt matter were you are in the league this is THE DERBY GAME,Wolves to sneak it by the odd goal in 5,The Futures Bright The Futures Gold & Black.

  30. Malvern Wolf said:

The comforting thing is that whoever loses can still reach their goal, Baggies automatic and us for the playoffs. If you check the remaining fixtures lots of teams must drop points as the games left include Stoke v Bristol City, Hull v Palace, Hull v Ipswich, and Watford v Palace. If we beat the Baggies they will still go up without the playoffs if they win the last three games, all easyish games on paper. If we lose then we will be in the playoffs with three wins and a draw. The game tomorrow has changed over the last few weeks and we are possibly slight favourites now. We managed a draw at the Hawthorns when the Baggies were playing much better than us. Their form has dropped a little and we are much better now so we must be optimistic. The atmosphere will be fantastic and I think we will just do it maybe 2-1 or even 3-2. We must help and be behind the lads for all of the game. I can’t wait!

  31. CleeveWolf said:

I’ve been lookng forward to this game for a long time. At this end of the season both clubs are always in the mix and both need to go for it. Should be a cracking game to watch, tight and tough with plenty of passion. I don’t see a walk over for either. Wolves need to play to their strengths and not defend too deep. The midfield battle will be the key to this match, anyone goes missing and we’ve had it, no passengers on this trip. Wolves have the firepower to do the job, they just need plenty of ammo to fire, midfield again. We need to be behind the team 100%, boo-boys stay home please. 2-1 Wolves.

  32. LeeWBA said:

Going to be a close, tough game. Could go either way I believe. Wolves will be up for it seeing as its a local derby in front of their own fans but then again so will we. Hopefully Phillips will be fit as we all know his record against the wolves. Hope its a great match, enjoyed by all and from a baggie point of view lets hope we can just nick this one so help with that automatic spot that we need to badly.

Do not want to go through the playoffs lottery again that’s for sure. In fact, wouldn’t mind seeing baggies, stoke and wolves go up, that would be nice - then we could have our seasonly derby battle in the top flight to show the rest of the clubs what a hot derby west brom v wolves truly is compared to their tame derbies that they think are so ferrocious.

  33. Eddie Wolf said:

Interesting analogy between the respective nicknames…”Tesco”..one of the UK’s most successful growth businesses with plans to go Global…..and “Dingles”….taken from a soap drama about a set of individuals “operating outside the law” and yet perennially under-achieving but still believing life owes them a living!…..Methinks its only a pity that we wont get “Double Points” for winning tomorrow….Boing Boing….

  36. Cornish Wolf said:

Hey Guys, This is a match in which a team who leak goals like a colander at sea but conversely can score for a pass time. Are facing a team with one of the best defences in the league who are at last learning how to score. This could be any score at the end. No way is to be 0-0, I feel a goal glut coming on with both managers pulling their hair out on the line. Oh how I wish I could be there I will be glued to my computer listening in on Beacon Radio, God bless them for their unbiased reporting, oops me nose just grew longer. To all who CAN get there have a good time. Please give The Wolves a shout for me.
    Roger, Cornish Wolf.
    Up The Wolves.
P.S. 4-3 to the 6th placed Wolves(at the end Of the season)

  37. Dangleadingle said:

This is how I see it, it will 1-1 or 7-7 or anything in between. The only thing it wont be is 0-0. Why oh why are sky showing Hull Barnsley, this is much more interesting. i really hope both teams go up what a great boost that would be for West Midlands football.

  38. Konstanz said:

Despite both sets of fans being worried sick about the result, most of us are all being nice to each other, predicting draws. I think a lot depends on the managers, their team selection and their tactics. MM seems to know what he thinks is his best team at home (although the fans don’t always agree) , and TM seems to want to play a certain way away from home, and save players for the next match (though the fans don’t always agree).
BUT - let’s look on the bright side. If either team loses, their fans will have to put up with the gloating and contempt from the other lot, but on Wednesday morning, an Albion loss will still see them still in the automatic promotion places on equal games with the other teams (and winnable games coming up), and a Wolves loss will see them still in a good position for a play -off place with a game in hand and winnable games at home coming up.
Let’s hope it’s a good match with no controversial refereeing decisions, no injuries and no red cards.

    35. Dingle is what the un-washed hordes from sandwell copied from Preston/Blackburn who call Burnley fans Dingles and have done so for years, at least we’re original and don’t resort to copying, Tesco’s is being replaced by steptoe’s as that’s more suited to the average sandwell tatter.

40.. Unwashed hordes from Sandwell!! Have you been to the delightful low hill recently!!!!!.

As an Albion fan obviously a West Brom win would be great.
But trying to get both teams in the Prem well a draw is the way to go.

Happy with a point, but have a sneaky feeling wolfies may just edge it . All up to the strikers of both teams

  46. Wolves1877 said:

    43. wba in devon, you’re so wrong on both, you definatley copied dingles from Preston/Blackburn. The Liquidator has been Wolves well before you lot started using it. FACT

  47. superkev said:

If both teams play to their full potential then The Albion will win, I dont think there can be any doubting that. However, very rarely do these games go to form or follow ability (Man U v’s City this year). I would take a draw becuase that cements our position in the auntomatic positions. Wolves have improved on last season, especially in front of goal. Should be a good game if we can win then I think we will win the league.

    COME ON YOU BAGGIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we lose tomorrow it will hurt like hell, as it will hurt Baggies fans if we win. Any result will leave Albion’s fate in their hands, a Wolves defeat will leave us hoping Palace slip up and needing to beat Ipswich. We may come to regret our poor home form. We have to accept that at times the supporters were anything but supportive, giving the away team an unexpected edge. The away fans were magnificent at Bristol on Saturday. Let’s make some noise and heap the pressure on a flagging Albion side.
