VILLA
The Premier League club continue to be linked with a host of players.
INS: Aston Villa are interested in Bayern Munich’s Willy Sagnol, says the Daily Mail. The right back is contracted to Bayern for another two years but may be available for £1.5m.

Barnsley midfielder Brian Howard has reportedly hinted that he could be set to quit the FA Cup giant killer this summer, with Everton and Villa believed to be chasing the former Chelsea trainee.

Villa are said to be among a host of Premiership clubs battling to bring PSG wing-back and ex-Bolton player Bernard Mendy back to England in the summer.

OUT: Porto, along with Dutch trio PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord and Ajax are interested in the 29 year-old Wilfred Bouma.

ALBION

Nothing for the Championship leaders so far.

WOLVES

OUT?: Most surprising rumour of the day goes to the Mirror, which claims that Austria’s Red Bull Salzburg are planning a summer swoop for Wolves skipper Karl Henry. Salzburg could offer midfielder Henry, 25, European football. They are also an unofficial feeder club for Bayern Munich.

STAYING: Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has said he has no intention of selling either Mark Little or Daniel Jones to Northampton Town.

IN: Everton boss David Moyes looks set to battle Wolves boss Mick McCarthy for Hearts defender Christophe Berra.

BLUES
Alex McLeish has revealed that he has had “positive talks” regarding a new playing contract for Mehdi Nafti.

I heard a rumour Albion are looking at the central defender Hudson from Palace, he is out of contract this summer. Described as a dominant centre half.

I think if Everton want him bad enough they will get him over us!

i quite like karl henry to stay

being local lad, and always gives 110%

sometimes people moan at him but they tend to forget that he cost us 100k and to be frank is the only signing of the 1st mccarthy crop to still be here, bar bothroyd if you count him

he is useful on subs bench at least for us, and rather him play than potter or gibson

  6. wolveswolves said:

Henry can go if we get a good offer for him.
He wouldn’t be good enough for the premier and thats the players we need if we want to get out of this league

  7. NathanWolves said:

Maybe the Karl Henry thing is another player who is waiting to see what division we are in next season. We have an interesting month ahead of us that’s for sure.

    5) I got slagged off on this site for saying that Henry and Seyi were not playing the best but we would get decent money for the both. Henry was also linked with Reading earlier in the season and George on his day is as good as anyone in this league.
As for Albion being top. They were fortunate last night and I am fairly certain Watford will be back top again tonight. Then it’s a massive 2 games that will probably decide their season - Watford and us. I certainly would not want to be going to QPR last game needing something, as they are a good team!

  12. OG&B4L said:

10 - How was your day at Wembley?

  13. baggie Boy said:

8 .. I agree Watford is a fairly big game but the Wolves game we can (although not advisable) afford to lose we have 5 games left 10 points from them should be enough.

I dont agree about fortunate last night we where rubbish for 78 Mins then we decided to actually play some football and did what we do best.
Blackpool where the better team last night over 80 minutes but got nothing, a bit similar to us against Pompey . We edged the game but got nothing thats football!!

  14. baggie Boy said:

12.. our day was great if you ever need directions lets us know

  15. terrywearetopbaggie said:

  17. OG&B4L said:

Sorry, I should have clarified - I meant your trip to Wembley last saturday, when Mr Baros did his best impression of a volleyball player, as opposed to last May when you drew a blank against the mighty (?) rams.

    Boing bang

  18. The Real Bully said:

Last night was a GREAT result after Saturday. It would have been so easy to suffer a hangover and lose it. The fact is we suffered a hangover and won it. It still won’t be easy to go up but I wouldn’t swap our position with any other teams’. We are clear on top with games in hand on some and no one that matters has played less than us. Just for good measure our goal difference is worth another point.

    So you enjoyed losing then???

Mind you I guess you would be used to it this time of year……

    Bottling it the Mowbray way!!

  20. wba 4 life said:

all the wolves fans saying how poor we were last night and won, when on the flip side of that saturday we played pompey off the pitch for the majority and lost, what we gotta do to get some credit?

  21. baggie Boy said:

is this the mighty rams the worst ever team in the premiership or the mighty rams the only premiership team to get relagated in March or the mighty rams that sacked a perfectly good manager and bought someone in to take you down

  22. baggie Boy said:

19.. No I did not enjoy losing what I enjoyed is the look on my 4 year old nephews face when he walked up the steps into the ground. you got a problem with that!

  23. NathanWolves said:

20 - wba4life, i give you more credit for last night playing badly and winning. On Saturday you played average. I say average because even though you dominated possession you created no chances (maybe 1 ;)), there is no point in dominating possession but doing nothing with it. At least last night, you didn’t dominate possession but you made your chances count!

  24. brummie rob wolves said:

Albion did play well in parts on Saturday. But according to one paper last night you were battered last night until the death. There again it was left very late against Colchester. You will have to play much better against us.
We know where Wembley is been many times with Wolves and England. I think I can remember a certain ex-player of yours Bully scoring a couple in an England shirt against the Czechs!

  25. Copenhagen Wolf said:

Vaduz (liechtenstein) can offer Henry european football as well, but I doubt it will be enough to tempt him away from his hometown club.

  26. Moxeysthreechins said:

Congratulations to WBA for reaching the top of thr Championship. Hope common sense prevails and you go up automatically. Then ,hopefully you will be joined via the play-offs by Wolves. Would be a great double for this region.

  27. Welsh Wolf said:

terrywearetopbaggie why don’t you go comment on your own section? Toodles!

  28. Wolverines said:

What is it with Moyes and Wolves players/targets? Maybe he’d like to step into the managers job lol.

  29. Ad Mant said:

Listen, the baggies humiliated themselves last season, Bottlers Trophy no contest. Ofcourse roll on 2008, and a multitude of blunders from Mcnugget has gifted us the award.

Do not forget, we should have been slogging it out for automatic, yet instead found ourselves mid table at one point, ALL, and I remind you ALL DUE TO Muppets blunders.

We’ve come quite a distance in the past month, and that is largely due to Ebanks Blake, and with a bit of encouragement from the fans, and a little more confidence in the squad we may yet just salvage something from this season.

    COME ON YOU WOLVES.

  30. terrywearetopbaggie said:
