Stour wary of Rothwell incident

Stourbridge FCStourbridge manager Gary Hackett has warned his side not to take anything for granted when they host Rothwell tomorrow.

The Glassboys are third in the league, while their opponents are third from bottom, but Hackett points to second bottom Malvern’s defeat of Sutton Coldfield last week as proof of the kind of results that crop up at this time of the year.

“You only have to look at a result like Malvern versus Sutton,” Hackett said.

“By all accounts, Sutton were on top for the whole of the game, but lost and you do get results like that.

“We played them on the first day of the season and got beaten down there, so we’ll be looking to avenge that defeat.”

The Glassboys will be without injured trio Lee Bullimore, Damien Whitcombe and Ryan Broadhurst, who are all still sidelined.

Bullimore has had an injection in his knee, while Whitcombe is still a week away with a bruised foot.
