Burst pipe shuts road

A street in Brierley Hill was sealed off today after a burst water pipe left the road having to be ripped up.

The burst happened in Brockmoor High Street early today, forcing workmen to close the road.

South Staffordshire Water, which is dealing with the leak, say the road between Norwood Road and Pheasent Street will be closed until the weekend while 50 metres of pipe is replaced.

It is the latest headache for traders in the street, who have already by affected by resurfacing work.
