Leamington 1 Rushall 0

Rushall OlympicOlympic’s day ended in disappointment as their promotion play-off hopes were dented by a winner 15 minutes before time.

Five minutes before the interval Rushall enjoyed their best opportunity of the game so far when Richard Beale and Craig Marshall combined, with the latter delivering a low centre that was flicked on by James Knott to Phil Rowe, but the midfielder drove the ball straight into the arms of keeper Richard Morris.

The hosts scored on 75 minutes when Ben Mackey tried his luck from 30 yards out with what appeared to be a miss-hit effort.

However, as the ball bounced and proceeded to take a wicked deflection off Richard Brown it deceived keeper Tony Breeden, sending him the wrong way and he could only look on as the ball rolled into the net.
