Just when Villa supporters were beginning to wonder where their team’s next win was coming from, it arrived in stunning fashion at Villa Park this afternoon.

After a nervy opening period, in which they led through a Gareth Barry goal they tore relegation threatened Bolton apart in the second half.

Gabby Agbonlahor increased the lead on 56 minutes and four minutes later the issue was settled when a Barry shot was deflected in for number three.

Marlon Harewood headed home number four to move Villa up a place into seventh spot, a point behind Portsmouth in the race for an Intertoto Cup position.
