A mother today paid tribute to her “vibrant” daughter who was hoping to go to university but died tragically days before her 19th birthday.
Zoe Walker had “everything to live for” said her heartbroken mother Juliet Chapman.
Speaking at her home in New Town, Brockmoor, Miss Chapman, said the death of her daughter had left a huge hole in her life. She said: “When the police came and told me a body had been found I prayed it would not be Zoe.
“I just can’t believe she has gone, she was so vibrant and had everything to live for.”
The former Ridgewood High School was discovered hanging from a tree in Wednesfield by her boyfriend last Friday just five days before she was due to celebrate her birthday with friends. The teenager was an art student at Stourbridge College and her mother said the walls of her daughter’s bedroom were plastered in her paintings.
Zoe’s aunt Janie Chapman said: “She would always be able to light up a room, she was so vibrant and very talented.”
An inquest on Miss Walker was opened and adjourned yesterday.

I live across the road from where this girl hung herself, it makes me so sad, i felt so close but yet so far away when i heard the tragic news. I wish i could of been awake and helped her! R.I.P Zoe, i did not know you but i will never forget you! X

Zoe was the best… she was always happy and smiling… she would always help anyone with anything…. people at stourbridge college will miss her loads she was a great girl and very talented….. i went to school with zoe and she always made me laugh…. i’m so sorry that shes gone….. i have only just found out, i went through primary school with zoe and we were best mates at some point but lost touch. it is a really big shock and my heart goes out to her family. if anyone has details of the funeral, please let me kno. R.I.P zoe xxx
I went to school with zoe and even though we had our ups and downs i’m still shocked about her death, i went to see dashboard confessional last night and all i could think of was Zoe and how much she loved that band. R.I.P zoe you will be missed by every one who went to Ridgewood. x0×0x0×0x0x

I have never been to such an emotional service as i attended last Friday..a fitting tribute to such a wonderful young girl..she will be sadly missed by all who knew her and im sure Juliet can be assured we are all there for her and her family at this very difficult time. Zoe will live on in our hearts forever..xxxxx
