Hull’s gaffa will win it but well done Mick. Im not convinced with you as manager yet but when we are winning who can grumble I guess.

Should be a good run in.

lets hope he doesn’t get it every time our managers get that award we lose form and games. For the record I think he deserves it for putting up with the stick from the minority. Some seem to forget what MM inherited

The team has turned it round, but that was the least they could do.
I was there at Barnsley when we could have got in the top 2 and then it went downhill.
Let’s be honest, Phil Brown and Hull have done enough and deserve it!

  16. Wulf said:

It should be yours Mick and will be totaly deserved for the dramatic turn around in the teams performance and energy we now have.

  17. Greg Cooper said:

Re 12 - why wasn’t Mowbray up for the award? Oh yes - could it be because of your 4-1 hammering at home by Leicester? Mug…
Mick does deserve credit for our great recent form but I agree with S*U*P*E*R - Phil Brown is a shoe-in for it, and on the balance of things, probably deserves it slightly more than MM.

We’ve gradually accumulated the points in the last month and if it hadn’t been for a dodgy penalty decision at Preston we’d have been unbeaten. Well done Mick!

I was starting to wonder if you’d lost the plot with your team selection but you’ve turned it round. Be nice to hear a few people singing your name at the next home match. I would but I’m shy…

well done Mick, but i think Phil Brown deserves it and we dont want the dreaded Manager of the Month syndrome

  27. shatpankwolves said:

    wrote this in other thread!!!!
look, im prob one of MM’s biggest critics and some of his decisions (loaning out Craddock, not finding an adequate replacement on loan for Kites etc) and the last couple of weeks e.g Eastwood, as got fans myself included discussing/arguing on here/forums and even in the stands.
so my point despite what we all think, who should play, who should manage the wolves etc.
We should get behind them, and has they say the rest will take care of itself….. i saw a banner on MOTD, and it was Man City, it read something like this:
“i dream to play for Man City, but today God chose you, so do it for us!! come on City!!”.
like i said whatever happens, may sound corny but we need them as much as they need us. so for the final run of games, can we all unite (wolves fans obviously) and cheer them on (like against the saints last year) and back them.
if keogh misses a chance, applaud him lets pick him up to go again.
if jarvis puts in a bad cross, same again clap him.
despite what we have all seen this year, and you question a persons will to succeed, but these lot (like i said who plays etc) are the most passionate players, collectively ive seen down the molineux since i started going in 1990.
although prob not the most skilled players, if they try, thats all you can ask for.
so lets do our bit, and hope they do theres, and leave any other talk till the season end.
we all hurt the same when we get a defeat, some may display there passion for wolves more than others but still love the club no more or no less than the next wolves fan.
like i said i have contributed to the slagging off of certain player/management etc but this is “squeaky bum time” now and hand on heart i would rather cheer them than jeer them.
we rely on these guys, they can make or wreck our weekend.
and like morgan said “people respond better with praise rather than critisism”.
if morgan decides to boot MM at end of season, then so be it, but while MM is still manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC then (Gulp) i have got to back him over these next few weeks, and not at ashton gate, but back at molineux where like myself/the boo-boys have got to take a backseat, and the club must take priority.
forget all the crap we have had this season, i apologise to anyone i have offended/disagreed with over this season, now is the time for us to stand together united, and show this poxy league (and papers who wrote we are the hardest fans to please) that when called upon, when you mess with Wolverhampton Wanderers fc you mess with us!!!!!!
    !WE ARE WOLVES!

  28. muppetout said:

wolveswolves you are bang on, with a good manager in charge not one with favourites and his stubborn enough to leave a player like freddie out we wouldnt be fighting for a play off place.

  37. Wolf72 said:

Well done MM, always supported you and it good to see that many Wolves fans that doubted you are honest enough to accept that things are coming good and giving credit where credit is due

But whatever your opinion may be nobody could put it better than (27) Shatpankwolves! Lets get behind em now, wherever your allegances lie, we need to be united and get behind the lads this is in our hands now and we are in with a genuine shout!

You don’t own this board and you don’t own the Wolves. So, stop being a silly-billy telling other people what they can and can’t do.

To accept the rubbish that Mick gave us all season without protest, now that is moronic.

Right now, we are all getting behind the team, because we are all Wolves supporters. Your type of posting is only divisive at a crucial time like this.

Over 50 years old? I would have thought that you would have grown up a bit by now!

  44. Norway Wolf said:

I have been critical of McCarthy since Christmas, when it was obvious that all was not well at the Golden Palace.

Now the team are fighting like real Wolves, and they are trying for the playoffs, so all Wolves supporters are behind them, or should be. No more booing the shirt, that should never happen anyway!

The inquests at the end of the season are another matter.

  45. Accountant Wolf said:

I think that Mick deserves this award. He has made several wise purchases over Christmas, that will make the club a lot of money soon when we sell them on at a good profit. Mr Moxey will see to that.

On that basis alone he deserves the award! Well done Mick.

Did MM win this at the beginning of the season? Just seems like we have been cursed for months! We are where we are because the rest of the league is crap too. We should be promoted already with the resources we have, to be scraping a play off place is disgraceful and because of the dross we have suffered until this month we are so grateful to be in sixth spot. Reality is we are better than sixth and if MM had got his tactics right in December we would be out of here by now. So for me he does not deserve anything…yet. Phil Brown has done wonders and really got the very best out of average players, he deserves it.

  48. Molly Knew Mick said:

Anyone who saw Phil Brown on the Big League Weekend will know he not only deserves it for transforming an underperforming team but that he is modest, intelligent and not given to stupid exaggeration…..MM could have learnt a lot by watching and listening to him!

And all fans of the Muppet might like to reflect that with 6 games to go, we’ve squeezed into the play-off places behind such mega-powers as Hull, Bristol City and Stoke. May I remind you that top 2 was the target and with the money spent we should be there!

No we don’t have a divine right to be promoted but when they’re handing out management gongs they should think about the resources available and that we were favourites to go up when the season started! Four wins, two draws and a defeat should have been the record throughout the season….and then we would have gone up in the top 2!

It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile!

Oh and I forgot. SEB for player of the month/year.

  53. DudzieWolf said:

I’m no Mick fan and I do think Freddie has been mistreated, saying that I am backing Wolves regardless of my deep down thoughts to go all the way. I think Mick has finally decided to use tactics and pick a team that can play with shape, passion and desire to push for a promotion place this season. I’m not gonna even think about next season, I always say the table doesn’t lie and it is easy to point a finger when things are not going well but things have to be put into perspective when they are. Good luck to the guys for the rest of the season, oh and Phil Brown for the award. It’s a curse anyway and Hull can be another team that can wobble at the top because of it leaving a clear run in for us

  54. Billy Wrights curls said:

I have supported Wolves for over 50 years, born into it. That does not mean that I have to support the manager and CEO.

The manager has been pathetic most of the season, and just the name ‘Moxey’ says it all.

In the meantime, as I am a Wolf through and through, I am supporting the team and hoping we can make it into the playoffs.

Steve Morgan owns the team, and will make the decisions about the future of the Wolves misfits. I doubt that he reads this board.

These albion fans crack me up on here. firstly wolves have a very bright future the young players in our squad our superb. im mixed on mick but i will sing his name whilst he manages my club. at charlton on saturday did you see how animated he was, not like twaddle or that mowbray from down the poorthorns.westbrom have players looking at the exit door and slating the club and area, we have players who all signed long term contracts and i can reassure you albion are dreading there game in hand at the golden palace. kightly is on his way back, all 2000 tickets are already sold for bristol (albion cant even sell all there wembley tickets 900 remaining) we are wolves and i think this could turn out to be the biggest turnaround in one season in recent history, WE ARE WOLVES, SUPER MICK,COME ON ME BABBIES!

  58. we8wba said:

im happy with mick currently but im not going to keep swinging one way or the other

if i had the choice over the season he would been out, but as i said back then im happy for him to prove me wrong as i like the bloke

also i feel he will be sacked next october after poor start to season next year

  59. Happy_baggie said:

57 - what a fool you make yourself look. So we have only sold 32,100 tickets so far… poor us. Well done on selling ya 2000 brizzie tickets - hope you have a great day.

Also, name one of our players who has slated the albion - you can’t cos you are just making it up.

If you need to live in some strange fantasy land where wolves are winning everything and albion are getting relegated just to ease the pain then go for it - everyone else can see the truth.

You are just another boo boy who is pretending he always cheers and never jeers - bet you were one of the 3000 in div 4 every week too.

You dream on lad - win or lose at wembley we will still finish above you in the league - and the biggest turn around in history is all you “magic merlin mick” fans who were calling for his head two weeks ago.

Thanks for the laugh - keep em coming.

  61. SUPERSTARDJWOLVES said:

HB, You must be worried if your post is so animated! Another 2 points dropped! oh dear.

Biggest turn -round in history….. I dont think so 50/50 split fans who like or hate MM. But you are missing one tiny omission….. Wolves fans support the club, and the opinion shared on MM this season are seen by passionate wolves fans and have voiced there opinion one way or the other. So HB get over it, enjoy your day at wembley and stop being a tit!

  62. TIPTON BORN AND BRED said:

come scotty how can ya say you hope we don’t make the play offs,to be there is better than never getting there even last season when the boggies got to the final,it would be a great end to a season thats not been too good at all,so lets get supporting the lads out on the pitch now even if you don’t like mm, TILL UP THE WOLVES .

  63. Soopa Stylin' said:

Happy Baggie as got a sense of humour as long as the jokes and ridicule are about Wolves. say anything at all about Sandwell town that he doesnt agree with and he throws his rattle out of the pram.
he believes that everyone is entitled to thier opinion as long as it is the same as his.
it is the Sandwell fans that have been living in a fantasy land where they are apparently superior to everyone else in the division and would be promoted by Christmas.
the way they are going they will drop out of the play-off places thats how superior they are.
they don’t like it at the moment because we are in form and SEB is banging in the goals and he can last for 90 mins+ when KP is losing his legs, Luke Moore is a waste of time and they have ran out of carrots for Miller.
and according to them Pompey are nothing without Defoe even though he as only been there for a handfull of games and they have been in the top 8 for most of the season.
they also reckon if they win against Pompey it will show that they can compete in the prem.
that must mean that Barnsley would probably finish in the top 8 of the prem.
    what logic.
just shows their mentality realy and they say we are jealous.
if they win the cup and get promoted they will still only be crappy little Sandwell town.
    whats to be jealous of.
Wolves FC forever and proud of it.
