Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has been shortlisted for the Coca-Cola Championship’s Manager of the Month for March.
McCarthy is vying with Preston’s Alan Irvine, Hull’s Phil Brown and Neil Warnock of Crystal Palace after winning four, drawing two and losing just one.

Mick does deserve credit for our great recent form but I agree with S*U*P*E*R - Phil Brown is a shoe-in for it, and on the balance of things, probably deserves it slightly more than MM.

look, im prob one of MM’s biggest critics and some of his decisions (loaning out Craddock, not finding an adequate replacement on loan for Kites etc) and the last couple of weeks e.g Eastwood, as got fans myself included discussing/arguing on here/forums and even in the stands.
so my point despite what we all think, who should play, who should manage the wolves etc.
We should get behind them, and has they say the rest will take care of itself….. i saw a banner on MOTD, and it was Man City, it read something like this:
“i dream to play for Man City, but today God chose you, so do it for us!! come on City!!”.
like i said whatever happens, may sound corny but we need them as much as they need us. so for the final run of games, can we all unite (wolves fans obviously) and cheer them on (like against the saints last year) and back them.
if keogh misses a chance, applaud him lets pick him up to go again.
if jarvis puts in a bad cross, same again clap him.
despite what we have all seen this year, and you question a persons will to succeed, but these lot (like i said who plays etc) are the most passionate players,collectively ive seen down the molineux since i started going in 1990.
although prob not the most skilled players, if they try, thats all you can ask for.
so lets do our bit, and hope they do theres, and leave any other talk till the season end.
we all hurt the same when we get a defeat, some may display there passion for wolves more than others but still love the club no more or no less than the next wolves fan.

I have been critical of McCarthy since Christmas, when it was obvious that all was not well at the Golden Palace.
Now the team are fighting like real Wolves, and they are trying for the playoffs, so all Wolves supporters are behind them, or should be. No more booing the shirt, that should never happen anyway!
The inquests at the end of the season are another matter.
I think that Mick deserves this award. He has made several wise purchases over Christmas, that will make the club a lot of money soon when we sell them on at a good profit. Mr Moxey will see to that.
On that basis alone he deserves the award! Well done Mick.

Did MM win this at the beginning of the season? Just seems like we have been cursed for months! We are where we are because the rest of the league is crap too. We should be promoted already with the resources we have, to be scraping a play off place is disgraceful and because of the dross we have suffered until this month we are so grateful to be in sixth spot. Reality is we are better than sixth and if MM had got his tactics right in December we would be out of here by now. So for me he does not deserve anything…yet. Phil Brown has done wonders and really got the very best out of average players, he deserves it.
Anyone who saw Phil Brown on the Big League Weekend will know he not only deserves it for transforming an underperforming team but that he is modest,intelligent and not given to stupid exaggeration…..MM could have learnt a lot by watching and listening to him!
And all fans of the Muppet might like to reflect that with 6 games to go, we’ve squeezed into the play-off places behind such mega-powers as Hull, Bristol City and Stoke. May I remind you that top 2 was the target and with the money spent we should be there!
No we don’t have a divine right to be promoted but when they’re handing out management gongs they should think about the resources available and that we were favourites to go up when the season started! Four wins, two draws and a defeat should have been the record throughout the season….and then we would have gone up in the top 2!

I’m no Mick fan and I do think Freddie has been mistreated, saying that I am backing Wolves regardless of my deep down thoughts to go all the way. I think Mick has finally decided to use tactics and pick a team that can play with shape, passion and desire to push for a promotion place this season. I’m not gonna even think about next season, I always say the table doesn’t lie and it is easy to point a finger when things are not going well but things have to be put into perspective when they are. I have supported Wolves for over 50 years, born into it. That does not mean that I have to support the manager and CEO.
The manager has been pathetic most of the season, and just the name ‘Moxey’ says it all.
In the meantime, as I am a Wolf through and through, I am supporting the team and hoping we can make it into the playoffs.
Steve Morgan owns the team, and will make the decisions about the future of the Wolves misfits. I doubt that he reads this board.
