In terrible conditions, Malvern battled back to net a deserved point.
The match was goalless until half-time, but the second half started with Malvern having their first shot. Jamie Hyde’s shot flew just over Stuart Brock’s bar.
McKenzie then had to be replaced as he was struggling with an injury, and his replacement Justin Nisbett opened the scoring with
virtually his first touch, lobbing Humphries.
On 58 minutes Malvern came close to equalising. After a great cross by Ed Lyons, Mark Goodman found himself unmarked, but his header went wide.
Willenhall could have sealed the game when Nisbett’s cross saw Craig Milligan get forward well to the back post, but he was foiled at the last moment by a Malvern defender.
And on 77 minutes Malvern got the equaliser they were threatening. Hyde’s free-kick into the heart of the area found Goodman and this time he made no mistake.
