A weather affected local derby meant this was always going to be a difficult game.
The first half saw Sports kick with the wind giving them a big advantage playing with a very strong wind.
There wasn’t much to write about in the first half but Sports did have a great chance to take the lead when Chris Raybone was played thru down the right by Danny Adams late in the half, the young winger only had to the goalkeeper to beat but the youngster hit the ball straight at James Pemberton in the Town goal, this with all the goal to aim for.
Dudley Town are a hard to team to break down these days and they kept Sports to long-range shots and corners, with some good strong defending from an organized back four.
The first half ended in a stalemate but with the pitch and weather getting even worse.

Second half saw rain being added to very strong winds making it impossible for both teams to play any football, to there credit though both teams kept at it and gave no quarter, it was Sports defences time to battle against the wind and rain this half and with Jay Trav in goal kept Town to limited chances showing why they have one of the best defensive records in the League.
They could have even pinched the game late on when veteran defender Chris Howard saw a header cleared of the line from a corner.
A point was no real help to both teams, but both teams are well organized and always give 100%, and on a day where the weather was a big factor a draw was a far result.
