Wolves striker leaves Rangers

Liam HughesWolves striker Liam Hughes has returned to Molineux after a disappointing month’s loan with Steve Bull at Stafford Rangers.

But Bull has beaten the transfer deadline to sign midfielder Jonathan Loukes, who goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Blue Square Premier leaders Aldershot at Marston Road.

The 19-year-old Sheffield-born player, previously with Barnsley and Weymouth, recently returned from the United States and has attracted the interest of league clubs, among them Stockport.

“He came along to the trial game we had recently and was head and shoulders above the rest,” said Bull.

“This is a signing for next season, although he will be eligible to play (against Aldershot) and the rest of the season.”

The struggling Blue Square Premier club had hoped teenage hot-shot Hughes could help spark a recovery.

But, hampered by a back strain, he made only three appearances for Rangers and failed to score.

“His last day was on Wednesday. It hasn’t worked out for Liam or for us and he has gone back, but that’s how it goes sometimes,” said Bull.

Bull has called for pride and passion as Rangers aim to pull off a shock against Aldershot, who last night were held to a 2-2 draw by rock bottom Droylsden.

“Let’s hope that’ll knock some of the stuffing out of them before they play us,” said Bull.

“They don’t come any harder than this as far as we’re concerned, but it is a massive game for them.”

Veteran Neil Grayson looks set to miss his second consecutive game through a back injury and fellow frontman Marco Adaggio is also struggling with a thigh strain.

Rangers midfielder Tom Ingram has joined British Gas Business outfit Brackley Town on loan. Brackley are now managed by former Rangers player-coach Dave Oldfield.

Rangers (from): Alcock, Allen, Gibson, Loukes, Sangare, Daniel, Sutton, Street, Draper, Jarrett, Hopkinson, Shaw, Flynn, Arnolin, Adaggio, Meakin-Richards, Reid, Mawene, Wellecomme.

Thanks god we don’t have an idiot saying like boing blasted bloing.
Do they really know how utterly stupid they sound?
Still…once thay lose their play-off spot and all get on Mowbrays back like they have started to do….perhaps they’ll all shut their big fat boggy bird Tesco carrier bags up
and we can have a bit of adult sense on what is a Wolves posting.
This guy must be particularly sad feeling the need to share his infantile ramblings with supporters adorned in the Old gold and black…the colours of the pride of the black country.
Probably care in the community…..or drunk…or both.
The sneer will be removed from his lips come the end of the season …when the mighty Wolves pull off the miracule and the sad old boggies stay in this division minus their precious premier money….
    ….mark my words
