i knew it freddy will go score loads for coventry mm will be gone and we wont get freddy back

  2. TonyWBA said:

Why would he go to Villa or Middlesborough if West Brom have got more chance of offering him European football :)

  3. djmattyg said:

Once again, Freddy scored 2 for wales last night and he cant even get in the wolves team….c’mon Mick, sort it out

  4. Golden Blood said:

The fact he is going to Coventry and not Man UTD or any other prem team says a lot about his ambitions. I am not too concernered it terms of playing staff.

What I am concerned about is the political asspect of this situation. Eastwood has gone because Mick does does not rate him as a player. So that will cause dissatisfaction amongst some sections of our support. But the reality is we have off loaded a striker that is going to be playing in League 1 next season. So he obviously is not as good as people think is he.

  5. richard said:

MM cant afford to let Freddy go that would be final nail in his coffin and he knows it!!! Surely the lad has to start on Saturday 2 good performances from the bench and 2 goals last night!!! Come on MM be positive!!!

  6. wednesbury1 said:

Well bereton wolf and se what do you think of that 2 goals scored with a start for eastwood. and now on his way to coventry.

  7. wednesbury1 said:

Golden blood’ We will see next season when he does have the opportunity to start games I’M ALREADY placing a bet on eastwood to be top goalscorer, i still think he has a great chance to be in the top 3 next season who ever he plays for.

  8. lowhillwolf said:

Come on MM at least put the bloke on the field and let him prove his worth, putting him on for 10 or 15 mins per game is going to prove nothing,at least let him have a full 90 mins.

Look he scores for his country which is something the so called superstars of our own England team can,t do.

    Mark

  9. twid78 said:

Golden Blood, I agree. Come on, Coventry! if he is that good then surely at least promotion contenders would be after him not the next league 1 side.

Wednesbury1, you are probs right just like he did for Southend in League 1, but not for any club in the championship.

Sometimes its not just about their playing ability. The guy comes across with attitude and if thats the case MM is just correcting that. If he thinks he is bigger and better than the club then he can go and find it.

Its best all round if he leaves. Especially wih the fans chanting his name after Keogh scores 2 the oher game. Where has this Freddie shrine come from? is he in your dreams with that srtipy sweater!!!

  10. antonjwba said:

Well done Gold’s. You are actually thinking about your own team today, how refreshing! see you on the 15th!

  11. The Bhatti Brothers said:

Another in the long line of second rate players that Dingles think are ’superstars’, when in reality he plays in a poor second tier team (and can’t get a game). He has adopted as ‘his country’ a land that he has only visited since being selected for the squad, and looks to be moving to another poor club.

  12. BAGGIE BOY said:

I am suprised Freddie has stuck it out this long . A football agent associate of mine told me months ago that he was extremely unhappy at the situation.

Partly due to MM and partly at Southend he was a big fish in a little pond type of situation so southend used to pamper to his wishes.

But I do agree he does need to move to get his footballing life back on track, I find it funny how some moe moves never seem to bring the best out of a player. He will probably go To Cov (but thats not where I have heard he may be off too) and be a roaring succsess

  13. RealistWolves said:

All you Freddy worshipers have harped on about all season is how MM dropped Freddy when he was in form and how ridiculous this was (choosing to forget the fact he wanted to be dropped), yet now he should apparently be playing, so who is this in replace of? Would that be the in form Keogh or the in form SEB? Would that not mean MM doing the very thing you was in such uproar about?

To be fair Freddy is looking the best he has since first coming to the club, as a bit of a sceptic, I though he did well Saturday and actually looked to be showing some commitment and work rate and also looking more of a rounded player. So all that can be said really is now that he at last is seemingly showing the right attitude, if he keeps it up his chance may come soon with games coming along thick and fast, but at the moment he is surely still behind our two in form strikers. If this changes then may be his turn.

  14. terrywembleybaggie said:

same 2 that where after him last season and the season before but he never went its just paper talk trying to unsettle us before wembley boing boing

  15. wednesbury1 said:

twid 78 i would rather have a player with attitude who can score goals rather than 1 that cannot eg, goerge best gary lineker kevin keegan even our own steve bull.just a few.

  16. Bournemouth Wolf said:

I hope we are not now in the business of selling some of the crown jewels off. Freddie is working hard and looking the business. Bloody madness to sell him off. MM has got to sort this out!!! Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!

  17. Miss Chief said:

I went to Rhyl for the day last summer.
Does that qualify me to play for Wales?
Oh & who were they playing?
    Those footballing “Giants”Luxembourg.
Twice the population of Wolverhampton, half the football team!
FREDDY IS REALLY NOT THAT GOOD,EVEN I COULD SCORE AGAINST LUXEMBOURG!

  18. wednesbury1 said:

    17 I LIKE YOUR ATTITUDE.

  19. EASTWOOD ALL THE WAY said:

eastwood baged 2 awsome goals 4 wales hopefully mm will take that on board

  20. Miss Chief said:

And while I’m thinking about it,If Gera wants to go to Vile, let him go!
Any player that gets his “Agent” to plug him to another team is SCUM!
    I’m thinking Miller, Naylor,Camara & Kamara,Curtis Davies…ETC
These players were NOTHING before they played for their Midland teams

  21. Soopa Stylin' said:

I think Freddy will only be given a go if/when SEB is injured or rested

  22. Mark Perry said:

20 your comment hits the nail on the head
19 look at the team he was playin against

  23. terrywembleybaggie said:

20,miss, whos got up out of the wrong side of the bed this morning boing boing

  24. Big Wolf said:

If Eastwood leaves i aint getin a season ticket .. simple as !!

  25. Frazzel Chops said:

Freddy can go for all the anxiety he has caused.

Id rather have some else who wants to play for the club up front.

Come on Mick sign up that Aaron McClean from Peterborough he looks class. Not some French striker no one
    has heard of.

  26. cashy said:

MICK SENT FREDDY TO COVENTRY MONTHS AGO…. THATS WHY HE HAS NOT PLAYED FROM THE START IN MANY MATCHES…AGAIN HE SCORES 2 GOALS FROM A START…. WHEN WILL MICK BITE THE BULLET AND GIVE HIM A FEW FULL GAMES….. SEB IS MY FIRST CHOICE FOR THE STRIKER ROLE…KEOGH HAS A FANTASTIC WORKRATE BUT HIS STRIKE RATE IS NOT THE BEST… THEY ARE THE FIRST CHOICE OF MICK BUT SURELY GIVING FREDDY A COUPLE OF STARTS WITH SEB TO SEE HOW THEY GEL IS WORTH IT IF THEY BANG THE GOALS IN WITH KEOGH COMING OFF THE BENCH

MIND YOU IT WOULDN’T SURPRISE ME IF MICK DID A SWAP DEAL WITH COVENTRY FOR KEVIN KYLE….. OH GOD I HOPE NOT!!!!

  27. Baggie Boy said:

Gera has been open in the fact he/agent have said he will leave at the end of the season should Albion not get promoted (and should we not win on Sat we can forget that! but thats football),anyway, he is a good player but not replacable . I am sure our scouting system will come up with another gem.
Obviously I would prefer to keep Gera (due to the fact we would be premiership)but as I have stated I am sure there are wheels in motion to replace him.

  28. Old Timer Wolf said:

If the Eastwood rumour is true then the Moronic Muppet will surely have signed his own ticket to the asylum where he truly belongs.

  29. Wulf said:

Eastwood needs a chance now. After scoring two goals last night (either side of half time to correct myself) he may have that bit more confidence that gets him on the score sheet. It would be criminal to let him go without giving him a fair crack.

  30. James Rees, Cannock said:

McCarthy will NOT change his mind regarding Eastwood even if he was to score 10 goals for Wales in 1 game! McCarthy has a stubborn opinion of Eastwood and obviously regards him as a bit-part player no matter how good or bad he is. As for leaving us for Coventry, I seriously hope he does not leave at all but should he do so then a team with better potential than Coventry should sign him up, ie Ipswich, Charlton or Watford (should none of those go up of course). Eastwood has had a bad deal for 1 reason or another and it is a great surprise he has not left us already but has remained to see the season out. Like many of us, perhaps he is waiting for a possible change of manager, one who will give him opportunities on a regular basis to cement a place in the team and do what he was bought for, to score goals!
So good luck Freddy, keep banging ‘em in son!

  31. Big Wolf said:

A good friend of mine close to wolves said that wolves are trying to swap freddy eastwood with a bit of money and get kevin kyle in !! IF THIS IS TRUE AND FREDDY LEAVES AND KEVIN KYLE COMES TO WOLVES OR IF FREDDY GOES ON HIS OWN !! I WONT HAVE A SEASON TICKET FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS !! WAKE UP MICK !!!

  32. brummie rob wolves said:

As far as I am concerned the jury is out with regards to Freddy. Saying that for the Wolves fans having a pop, I think you will find that he set up the equaliser on Saturday and has looked good in cameo appearances recently. When Mick brings him on for the final 3 minutes of a game though - that is ridiculous.
One thing I will say is that he miles better than Luke Moore. What are Albion doing when they have plenty of players who are far better scorers than him!

  33. Kent Wolf said:

  40. TonyWBA said:

I could tell by the words used & the way they were used it was’nt you mate.

You might be advised to try and get her to refrain from using your log in name, so not to cause to much confusion to some as you are one of the good posters on here.

But I’m also sure TWB will thrive with the challenge that may be set as they say TWB fishing rods at the ready lol.

  41. TonyWBA said:

39: This is the transfer activity page, if there is no reports on transfers at the Bank’s then Walsall would not feature.

    Mick McCarthy Out !!!! ASAP

If Freddy goes to cov i will tear up my season ticket defintly if that idiot McCarthy is still in Charge!!

  52. The Real Bully said:

It’s all those operations Kent has been having. They’ve put some devilish Jekyll and Hyde device in his brain. Yet even his alter ego doesn’t sink as low as some others on here.
    21 Soopa Stylin.
Better add banged up to that list.
PS. Strangely no mention of the only two actual moves that took place today, ‘Clement and Sluzarski.’

  53. wolfhound said:

Well its what Wolves Fans were expecting its McCarthys way of punishing the Wolves Fans for his own decline in popularity and the fact that most of the Fans were looking forward to seeing Freddy score some spectactular goals as he did against ManUtd.This man has a paticulary nasty streak he wont accept any form of crictisim ask Roy Keane, hopefully this will be the final nail that seals his fate.It looks like early bird season ticket holders have already registered their discontent I predict if Freddy does go to Coventry Fans will talk with their feet.

That was your nice Dr Jekyll side, I saw comment 33 and suspected the worse. Good to see you have things under control. Or have you?

  59. baggieschampions2008 said:

If tony does not play clem after calling him ack froma team where he is playing 1st teamfootball i will hate him. Clement is our longest serving player and does not deserve to be messed about. However if he has generally brought him back to play him maybe its not to late for an automatic promotion push. I dont know if if any of you have noticed but neil is my favourite player because he is quick a no nonsense defender and a threat in the air.Any opinions.

  60. baggieschampions2008 said:

no offence bu eastwood scored two goals against luxemborg (sorry if i spelt it wrong)but they are no challeng it is like a training session nobody cares they are one of the worst teams in europe so it not anything that should merit a 1st team place in anybodys team.
