Wolves youngsters push Forest close

A young Wolves side pushed champions-elect Nottingham Forest all the way in a pulsating clash at the Buck’s Head.

But Forest showed why they head the Pontin’s League table by 20 points by coming from 2-0 down to stay unbeaten.

Wolves made two goalline clearances before taking the lead in the 13th minute when Kyle Bennett drove low past keeper Karl Darlow.

The home side should have doubled their advantage when Fabrice Kasiama rounded the keeper but couldn’t finish from a tight angle.

But Denes Rosa spared his team-mate’s blushes by making it 2-0 with a delightful chip over Darlow on his comeback in the 28th minute.

Sinclair reduced the arrears on 63, firing past Lumley after Garath McCleary’s pass split the home defence.

Kasiama thought he had scored but saw his effort ruled out for offside.

But the visitors scored two goals in two minutes to seal the win when Fairclough helped on Reid’s centre for Sinclair to level on 78, before Joseph Heath headed home McCleary’s cross.

Wolves: Lumley, Melbourne, Bailey, Salmon, Dunleavy, Wardle, Bennett, Rosa (D Davis 67), Hemmings, J Davis (McCone 90), Kasiama. Subs not used: Woolley, Geurin-Lokonga, Rooney.

Attendance: 56.

DENES ROSA!! He scored again! I know it only reserves but he scores more than our strikers. I think we should hang on to him if we can. I reckon he’d be good back-up. He’s got to be at least as good as Dave Edwards who was nearly £700,000. COME ON MICK GET HIM ON THE BENCH

I see Rosa carrying on from where he left off prior to his injury. Surely must be worth a shout in the first team, could hardly do any worse than any of the current crop.

Put him in 1st team and make him captain

Could not say much more, Denes is class and should get a chance.
