Wolves 3 QPR 3
Andy Keogh grabbed a dramatic 95th minute equaliser to give Wolves a much deserved point against QPR at Molineux.
Mick McCarthy’s side had served up one of their brightest home performances of the year so far but looked to be heading for defeat when Mikele Leigertwood fired Rangers into a 3-2 lead with 11 minutes remaining.
But Wolves never gave up the fight and in the fifth minute of added time a tremendous flurry of pressure on the Rangers goal finished with Keogh sliding home the equaliser from a narrow angle.
It was a pulsating finish to a thrilling match which had seen Rangers rock Wolves back on their heels in the 28th minute when Akos Buzsaky fired a terrific first goal past Wayne Hennessey.
Wolves finished the first half on the front foot and with Andy Keogh heading them level from a cross by the in-form Michael Gray.
But, before the second half had really got started, the first of two controversial penalty awards by referee Clive Oliver saw Rangers back in front from the spot via striker Dexter Blackstock.
When Matt Jarvis was then tripped in the area by Michael Mancienne in the 65th minute, Ebanks-Blake’s seventh goal for Wolves set up a pulsating finish.
But Camp produced two mighty saves to deny Karl Henry and then Jarvis and give Rangers the chance to deliver their killer blow.
In the race for a place in the play-offs, the significance of the comeback will not be known for a while but at least McCarthy and his side can take heart from a revved up display that kept Molineux on its feet.
There are clear signs that one of their key players Seyi Olofinjana has at last found his form after producing a man of the match performance in midfield while Ebanks-Blake remains a handful.
The draw leaves Wolves in ninth place but just a point outside the play-offs.

How the hell was that a penno for QPR?!
Stupid ref, Unlucky though lads was a good peformance!
Now we just need to beat the faggies in our next Molineux fixture.
Come on Wolves!
Not the result we wanted but there were plenty of positives. Good entertainment. the team kept going to the end and another excellent cameo from Freddie.
you really think you will get in the play offs you must be mad and if you do we will only beat you again and send you lot back crying
“In the race for a place in the play-offs, the significance of the comeback will not be known for a while but at least McCarthy and his side can take heart from a revved up display that kept Molineux on its feet”
Rubbish, with 7 games left and at least 5 teams that will whallop us as they are way better.
I suppose that we have to keep up the farce that we will reach the playoffs until it’s mathematically impossible.
The normal suspects will be on the board, yelling that if we all keep faith, and sing and chant louder, and believe in Mick then we will make it. If the team fails it’s all down to us non-believers!
The season has been over for over a month now. A team that is so frail at the back, so slow in the middle and has the worst scoring rate in the Championships is not going to get promoted.
To me the point of interest is what comes next, and guess what?
OUT OF DARKNESS COMETH PAUL INCE!
yes what a game it could to out to be a important point at the end of the season and yet another goal for ebanks- blake
Am I the only one who thinks that ultimately we will finish one point away from the play-off places,
or worse, miss out on goal difference?
never mind you only dropped down one place boing boing
Com’on you rip roaring wolves! Its gonna be so close. keep playing like that you beauties and we’re assured prem football next season!
hey wot happened to the he fires blanks saddo tesco boggies chants. its official he does not fire blanks he’s fully loaded with live bullets(7 goals for us already 20 in total) and he’s gonna be aiming for you soon saddos
There was little to take away from that game, other than the fact the team showed some fight. Thankfully there is still a bit of Wolf heritage in there. But not what we oldies expect from a Wolves team.
It is obvious that we have to have a serious manager take over very quickly. This silly-billy management approach should not be allowed to continue any longer!
Other countries have managers that are a magnitude of quality greater than the hill-billy approach used by McCarthy. He is now long past his sell-by date!
McCarthy OUT! Anybody else IN!
Great game, good performances in difficult conditions.
Apart from the Ref a few mistakes cost us today as we deserved the points.
Keep the faith and you never know we could get a playoff spot.
And McCarthy blaming fans for wanting Eastwood on. What a joke he is. Keogh is a cool guy, and he needs to play, but so does Eastwood. Drop Gray, or Henry IMO.
great match shame we hadn’t got more of that for the whole season but onwards and upwards !
Lets face it guys, were destined to just miss out on the playoffs!
We have seen it all before, the math means we can do it right up till the last game but win a couple draw a couple loose a couple just does not get you there this close to the end.
Should Mick go? who would replace him?
A Wanderer till the end Wandering what will happen next season.
Well done Wolves, but we can’t let three goals in and expect to win. The defence has been poor all season and really should have been sorted out earlier. Just imagine what Man.u. L.pool, or Chealsea would do to us.
At the inquest at the end of another failed season, it should be brought to light that it was known that we had an ageing defence and required attention, but was completly ignored for the purchase of yet more forwards.
Why don’t all you idiots chanting for ‘Freddy’ crawl back under the rock from where you came.
COME ON WOLVES!
thats the diffrence between us and you,we draw at charlton and disapointed, you draw agenst below mid table QPR and your dancing in the streets,
boing boing going up the MOWBURY WAY
great game full of nail biting heart stoping entertainment.but i wish the boo boys would shut up the lads need our vocal suport now.we have a good chance of making the playoffs and we can play our part in helping to get them there leave the moaning untill may.COME ON THE WOLVES.
Positive posts only please!
Eastwood had another good game, his patience’s and skill set up Keogh’s 2nd goal.
well done lads guts snot and real fight,4 matches ago we would’ve given up the ghost, but this match showed pure get in there, a well earned point, lets hope it’s 3 points against charlton, come on lads start believeing in yourselves and we’ll book that place in the play offs, good luck for the weekend and so and on,up the wolves.
wow what a game!! true fighting spirit in abundance, keep this up boys and a play off place is ours. the top 3 can’t buy a win at the moment, just keep picking up points and we’ll be right in there.
SUPER MICK MCARTHY..THE SOUTHBANK..BARMY ARMY.
CONGRATULATIONS to the players, a great game to watch. Skill, endeavour and most of all DESIRE was evident throughout the game. Yes AK did get booed when he missed a sitter, but i class that as frustration from the fans, and the response of chanting his name was just as good because i think the two things made AK more determined and it proved his worth. All round the team did really well, so lets learn from this game and although the rest of the season has been poor in quality of football, us fans have been frustrated because we know what has been lacking and it was evident in this game. So more of the same and what will be will be.WEEL DONE lads keep it up for the rest of the season.
A better performance but without Breen,no sign of a clean sheet which is required.
You should be proud of your team the way they fought back yesterday.
Now last few home games all stick together and cheer this great club on.
Kiwiwiolffffffffff
A good point after all said and done. QPR were lucky but bad finishing cost us again. Apparently Mck said the ‘boo boys’ were out but others shouted Keogh and he responded. I was tucked up in the ‘gods’ so o didn’t hear anything but if this was correct then clearly we all know what to do in the future. Give the lads encouragement and they’ll rerspond
The team are nervous playing in front of us. So many dumb mistakes were made as players seemed to try ‘too hard’. But at the end of the day they keptt on trying hard and desrerved the applause they got at the end,
So to all ‘boo boys’…..YOU DAMAGE THE TEAM. To those fans that helped Keogh…….youdid the team proud.
Ha ha, Wolves season is just about over now, games running out, what a terrible performance. If you play like that against the baggies, you will get hammered! Oh we can go top again if we win our games in hand. Going up in style the Tony Mowbray way. I think we will seal automatic when we beat you at the custard bowl, we are the greatest
na na na NA NA NA

KEOGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
WE HAVE ALL BEEN LOOKING FOR FIGHT AND THEY DID IT RIGHT TO THE END, WE NEED TO STOP GIVING GOALS AWAY AND PUTTING IN CHALLENGES JUST OUTSIDE THE BOX THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS OCASSIONS WHERE WE HAVE NOT GOT CLOSE AND ALLOWED THEIR GUY A FREE SHOT AT GOAL. KEEP WORKING LADS THE MATHS SAY IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET TO PLAY OFFS.

3. In your dreams idiot .. you’re the team losing form and we’re gaining ours .. please go back to the ditch you climbed out of ..
Big Wolf: Good pass but not much else.
Do you think we can get Freddie to play behind the front two, he passes well and will be able to trouble the keeper if a gap appears in front of him. He still needs to put more into his game and look around now and then.
Wolves til I die: yes please.
Go away and support someone else (sorry if you think your comments are support, find something else to do)
32,do you always drop down a place when your gaining form, youv bin stuck there all season and thats where you will stay, told you before, your a teapot team, always in the middle of the table boing boing having a cuppa at wembley
At last a good game to watch, even though it was bad to drop points.
Mark B: But Its The Way He Brings Players Into Play … Look At Last Game Could You See Anyone Else Puting A Pass Through Like That On The Outside Of There Boot To Ebanks-Blake NO !! And The Way He Plays .. Its Quality .. He Needs A Run In The Side Now !! Before He Leaves And Goes To Palace !!
I Just Feel Sorry For The Chap His Come Up Here Brought A New House Left His Gypsy Roots And He Dosent Play Him !! Mick You’e Lost It !!
Big Sam Or Paul Ince In !!
Get behind the team or get lost.
All you negative lot are thick YAMYAMs with ugly wives and ugly kids. Proper fans find positives and don’t boo players who score.
why are West Brom fans on this site? Have you no lives and do you really think that a team that cannot defend are ’so good?’ p.s. Pompey will batter you

Oi thicko terrywalsallboggie, you haven’t won anything yet!Failing the mowbray way(again)!Riingo, don’t rise to the bait mate.Terrywalsallboggie probably lives in a squat with a tesco bag and his laptop,no life and still learning to read and write. And when he walks, his knuckles drag along the floor.
42, the main word being YET,but it wont be long before we do,boing boing wembley getting closer
#9 washingtonwolves: Boy takes so little for you to get into dream land! You must surely be sniffing glue…premiership my left cheek.
We ain’t going to make the playoffs dude. Just hit reality, look how many teams ABOVE us are better. Ok, done that, now choose just ONE (not counting the top two finishing ones) and it isn’t going to be wolves going anywhere..
Maybe holidays in Spain for the squad this year instead of Ireland.
Please don’t knock the Albion fans for coming on to this site - they clearly think they have something to crow about. They have played 13 league games in 2008 and have won 4 of them. Wow thats great form.
Wolves have won 6 in the same period.
This clearly adds to the theory that Albion are the best team in the division - or so some people would have us believe!!
#45, to save me looking at the standings, where are WBA in relation to us? do they have any games in hand? muppet
Funny how the albion fans have recently started to get chatty on this site. Could they be slightly worried about their promotion challenge perhaps???
