Pictured here with her mother, this is the bubbly Stafford teenager killed in an horrific road accident before she could fulfil her dream of becoming an air hostess.
Jessica Martin had even put that ambition ahead of a potential modelling career.
But her life was cut tragically short when the car in which she was a passenger crashed on the A51 between Blackbrook and Stableford, near Stone.
The 18-year-old had been out bowling with friends at Stafford’s Superbowl before meeting up with her boyfriend.
Tributes have been flooding in since the accident, which left the 20-year-old driver of the black Ford Mondeo critically ill in hospital.
Her brother Daniel said hundreds of messages had appeared on Facebook following the tragedy.
Her mother Kim Jones, who lived with the teenager in Woodlands Road, said that Jessica was a very popular girl with lots of friends.
“She was absolutely beautiful and full of life,” she added.
“A modelling agency had offered to put her on their books but she was studying travel and leisure at Stafford College and wanted to become an air hostess when she was 21.
“She also had an ambition to get an audition on X Factor,” added grandmother Gillian Feeney. “She used to practise in front of the family. She loved music, she loved singing and she loved dancing.”
Jessica’s mum added: “I just can’t put into words what I will miss most about her. Everybody loved her, she was a presence, you always knew when she was around.”
Mrs Feeney added: “Everybody will miss her, even older people. I went to see one 85-year-old gentleman who is a friend of the family.
“He was crying his eyes out, he could not believe he would never see her again.”
Jessica was born in Stafford and attended Tillington Manor Primary school before going on to Sir Graham Balfour High.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the accident, which happened about 10pm on Wednesday. No other vehicle was involved.
The driver, whose identity has not been revealed by police, has been detained in the University Hospital of North Staffordshire with multiple injuries and is in a critical condition. Anyone with information should contact contact PC Neil Coward on 08453 302010, quoting serial number 0925 of 19/3.
