O’Neill calm on Villa full back talks

Wilfred BoumaVilla boss Martin O’Neill insists there’s no panic over Wilfred Bouma’s future.

The in-form left-back has to know whether Villa are taking up a 12-month option on his contract – which expires in the summer – by the end of April.

Luke Moore was in a similar position several months ago and made it clear he wanted to leave after the club took up an option on him.

But O’Neill said: “I just haven’t had a chance to sit around a table with him. It doesn’t matter whether there’s a month or three and a half minutes to go.”
