This was not one for the faint hearted as the two top teams meet at fowlers park on a very cold Sunday morning and once again a fine away support turned up to cheer on the cheesemen.

The Ashmore at this stage of the season are down to the bare bones as injury has hit the side big time but it shows you there power of resolve as players who should be rested got off the treatment table and played Cooper Onions Szwarts & Tew who all played in pain for the club that is so close to their hearts manager Padir Brewster said that how much this club miens to the boys to play in a game in pain miens a lot to me it shows me the fortitude that’s inside them and that makes me proud.

The game was a close affair with the ash taking the lead when Hale played in Mincher who went on to flick the ball over the out coming keeper then 10 mins latter Bond made it all square 1-1 at half time.

Brewster and team captain Adrian Hale got together and tried to rally their battle weary side with some constructive criticism that seemed to work as in the second half the Ashmoreonians came a live with goals Brown his 14^th of the season and Rogers 2 his taking him to 25 for the season Highcroft got one back to make the final score 2-4 to the Ashmore inn.

The sad thing that mired the game was that the Highcroft couldn’t take the beating and in the last 5 minuets had 4 players sent off for dissent. When asked about the sending’s off manager Padir Brewster said who am I to talk about been sent off and smiled.
