Play-off hopes over: Pitmen boss

pitmen.jpgPhil Starbuck has admitted Hednesford’s play-off hopes are over – but he’s refusing to perform an old pal’s act with former Pitmen assistant John Ramshaw tomorrow.

The Pitmen go to second-bottom Leek seeking a return to winning ways following their 5-2 home defeat to Guiseley on Monday night and Starbuck said: “Barring miracles, I can’t see us getting in the play-offs.

“We don’t seem capable of winning five games on the trot, let alone 10.”

Paul Robinson (broken foot) and David Brown (ankle) are two weeks away from fitness.
