Angry boss Phil Starbuck kept his Hednesford players locked in the dressing room after their play-off hopes were all but ended by promotion-chasing Guiseley.
A kamikaze defensive display saw Lee Tuck bag a hat-trick in the five-goal horror show which left the Pitmen 15 points adrift with nine games left.
Tuck broke the deadlock on four minutes after getting goal side of Tom Marshall before firing past the stranded Paul Evans.
Marshall’s evening got worse in the 26th minute when his attempted crossfield pass to Ross Dyer was intercepted and another long ball found Tuck free to outpace the defence to slot home.
Ross Dyer had a header from a Mario Pedro cross cleared off the line.
Tuck had a chance to increase the lead when he blasted over from the edge of the six-yard box, but Damien Dunne made it 3-0 in the 42nd with an angled shot.
The Pitmen were unlucky not to score in the 50th minute Pedro’s header hit the post, the off-balance Ross Dyer missing the rebound.
Guiseley made it 4-0 in the 53rd minute when another long clearance caught the Pitmen back four on the back foot and striker James Hanson outpaced the defence to score.
The Pitmen pulled one back on 67 when Rory May got the final touch from Pedro’s corner, before Chad Sheppard made it 4-2 with a firm shot from just inside the box two minutes later.
Tuck, however, sealed the points in the 71st minute rifling home from a loose ball after Marshall’s tackle on James Hanson.
Only a good save by Evans followed by two goalline clearances prevented Tuck from adding to his tally.
