Stourbridge 6 Woodford 0

Stourbridge FCThe Glassboys cruised to an easy win over cash-strapped Woodford.

Sam Rock chested a ball from Damian Whitcombe into the path of Ryan Broadhurst who was clumsily brought down by Craig Hyde as he burst into box.

His brother, Leon Broadhurst duly sent the keeper the wrong way with his spot-kick to put the Glassboys in-front with 16 minutes gone.

Two minutes later, Stourbridge doubled their lead with a rasping shot into the top corner of the net from around 25 yards out from Gavin Winsper.

In first-half injury tim Whitcombe took a throw-in on the left to Leon Broadhurst who laid the ball back to him and Whitcombe delivered in a deep cross that was headed home by an unmarked Lee Bullimore.

A long throw-in from Slater saw Winsper get in a glancing header that drifted inside the far post to extend the hosts’ lead.

With 71 minutes gone, Kyle Hadley added a fifth goal in some style when after a Woodford free-kick was snubbed out, he broke from just outside his own penalty box and used his pace to advance over half-way and into the Woodford box before rounding Thornton and slotting home.

Bullimore completed the scoring seven minutes from time.
