16.50: It’s got worse as Howard completes his hat-trick to round off a real shocker.
16.48: Dismal day for Albion as we enter the closing stages, the sending off changed the game according to Madeley.
16.43: Leicester strike a killer blow and it’s Howard who makes it 3-1.
16.35: Madeley reports that Albion are having plenty of the ball as Leicester sit back but don’t have the manpower to take advantage.
16.29: Double change for Albion, Pele and Macdonald on for Gera and Kim.
16.23: Leicester lead with a penalty scored by Howard.
Greening fouled Lee Hendrie in the area and the big striker converted from the spot, placing his kick into the corner.
Hendrie – the former Villa player – was taunting the Baggies fans.
16.20: Steve Howard heads over for Leicester. Warning signs for Albion.
16.17: Tense stuff at the Hawthorns, Kisnorbo and Bednar have had to have their running battle diffused by the referee.
16.13: It’s looking good in the other games. Bristol City are losing, Charlton down to Ipswich and Stoke and Watford level.
16.08: Back in action at the Hawthorns.
15.47: Half time and a lot of work ahead of Albion, a man down and pegged back by the visitors.
15.40: Leicester level through Gareth Macauley and it’s another corner that proves Albion’s undoing.
15.37: Albion are down to 10 men, Luke Moore is red carded for a two footed challenge. Deserved.
15.33: Madeley: “After an even start Albion have got the upper hand.”
15.29: Watford down to 10 men against Stoke in that crucial clash. Still 0-0 – that’s good for Albion.
15.21: Goal for Albion and it’s Koren on target for the Baggies. Good spell of pressure pays off but it is a corner which breaks the deadlock.
The ball is cleared to Koren and he rifles home a shot to put Albion in front.
15.17: Our man at the Hawthorns Steve Madeley reports that Albion are targeting Leicester down their left hand side.
15.15: Hayles should have given Leicester the lead, he beats Barnett, goes round Kiely but the Baggies scramble the ball off the line.
15.12: First Leicester attack, Hayles shoots from distance and the ball cannons off Barnett for a corner, which is headed clear by Gera.
15.06: Good Albion pressure early on, they force two corners which are dealt with by Leicester.
15.01: We are underway at The Hawthorns this afternoon.
14.45: crazygeorgenz is feeling the pressure. Join the debate below.
Go and watch the cricket in Wellington to help you relax george, and it looks like he is worse off than Donald (see 14.27).
“Donald you’re doing alright. 3:40am here (New Zealand). No wife, no coffee just three hours of paperwork,” writes crazygeorge.
14.41: For an in-depth rundown on the team see our video Wolves and Albion line-ups
14.27: Great stuff from Donald White joining us from British Columbia, Canada. He is hoping for a Baggies goal fest today.
Donald: “7.20am waiting for My wife to bring me coffee and breakfast.” It’s alright for some isn’t it?
14.25: Baggies fans would you have jumbled the strikers? TM has dropped Phillips and Miller to the bench in favour of Moore and Bednar.
14.15: He has gone with Kim in midfield for Brunt and made three other changes.
Albion: Kiely, Martis, Barnett, Albrechtsen, Robinson, Gera, Greening, Koren, Kim, Bednar, Moore.
Subs: Phillips, Miller, Macdonald, Danek, Pele.
14.13: Waiting for the team news but TM has a midfield dilemma.
14.00: Forget the cup, it’s a vital league game for Albion today.
With only four of their last 10 games at home, the Baggies must pick up three points against relegation threatened Leicester.
Team news as soon as we get it.

That was a definate blip today – thank god the other results have gone our way – its STILL in our own hands but we need to get it together pretty quick. Moore deserved to go – but I still think he’s a great signing for us – he will prove this over the years, not one game.
To all the dingles who have waited soooo long for a week when you win and we lose – enjoy your moment, you had a great result…. unfortunately so did Ipswich, plymouth and Hull !!
Funny really – we lose and it turns out not too bad – wolves win well and its worse now than it was before – STILL 11th and still miles from the playoffs.
God DOES have sense of humour after all !

the quicker moore goes back to villa the better he doesn’t want to be at the Albion his attitude and body language tells me that iv watched him 4 times now i think he thinks hes to good for us but hes not as good as he thinks he his when fit Phillips and bedner our best 2 strikers

Where to start. Wolves fans. I’ll come clean and admit that as we’ve lost a game and you’ve won one we are bound to be relegated and you will win the title, win the prem next year and the champions league the year after. For good measure you will probably be reinstated into the cup in our place and go on to win that as well.
Baggies fans. A bad day or perhaps bed few days at the office. We weren’t firing on all cylinders anyway but the sending off of Moore and the penalty were poor decisions by a referee who seemed determined to be the star of the show. Moore’s challenge was stupid but not malicious, no allowance was made for the slippery conditions. I may be wrong but to me the penalty looked very dubious. Bad result but we’re still in the mix and hopefully this will turn out to be the wake up call we need. About the only plus point was that McDonald looked much better than the player who went to Hereford.
There was no booing at the end although I’m sure that those that got up and left when Leicester’s third goal went in would have been only to glad to if they could have been bothered to stay. I even saw one idiot directing V signs at the bench on his way out. I’m not saying I was over the moon with the performance but a dog’s for life not just for Christmas and being a real supporter is the same. Just as the Wolves had 30,000 loyal fans against Chorley, we will have those who never doubted us if we go up or win the cup.
What I’m saying I suppose is that Wolves may think they have a monopoly on fickle supporters but I can assure you we have our share. Some couldn’t wait to get on the phone-ins about TMs selections, the players not wanting it enough etc etc. I didn’t see any lack of effort and the managers decisions have got us this far and I will continue to believe. I wish there were more of us. KEEP THE FAITH.

Terrible display by the baggies, losing to the third from bottom is disgracful.mowbary has lost the plot. Why did he take off gera and bring on McDonald no one will ever no,and playing moore from the beginning was a disaster.Send him back to the villa asap he is not Worth 3mill,why was Phillips on the bench for most of the match, the leading scorer in the league and he leaves him on the bench. This is the best chance we haveof getting out of this league and he has blownit.Ino we have games in hand but we have to win them,if we don’t it looks like the playoffs again
Report abuse
If you lot don’t make an automatic place it will be the biggest disaster since wolves doing it when you lot won automatic. Nobody has come close to branding Wolves the best team in this division but Albion are the Arsenal of the championship and being beaten by Leicester 4-1 at home for a team of your calibre is an absolute joke. HA HA
Wolves don’t expect now, so a play-off place would be an awesome bonus, but you lot thought (me too) thought you’d walk this league, and the players are under pressure. By the way your not going to win the FA cup either. See you next year when it starts all over again!

Losing 4-1 to Leicester….now that made me smile!

where have all the west brom gone???? In bed, still hungover from their fa cup “glory” i wonder?? You may be better than us, you may even go on to get promoted, but where are you lot now?? a couple of weeks ago, when we were goin through a bad spell, you lot came out and gave it the large….oh by the way, messing it up the mowbray way bing bong
Report abuse
Richard Baggie. 22. I totally agree with that. You have a premier league attack and a blue square defence.
As a certain Bill Shankley once said. Forwards win games, defences win leagues.
28-you talk about it being in your hands and us being “miles” away from the play-offs. well im not sure if they have taken numeracy out of the schools in sandwell, but if you can add 6 to our total you will realised that if we win our games in hand, we will be 5th. so much for “miles” away.
yes you probably are the best side in the division on paper, but so were we a couple of seasons ago under hoddle, look where that got us. And this year, a lot of people were backing us to go up in the top two, but again look where talk has got us.
i dont care what anyone says, im sure every albion player and mowbary has one eye on the semi final of the cup and selections look as if it is affecting it.
The league is the bread and butter ladies, look at millwall a few years ago, got into europe and 2 years later they are in league one. Im sure that wont happen to you, but just shows what can happen when you take your eye off the”prize”
Dean Kiely should have saved at least 2 of the goals!! If Barnsley are going to mess us around we should have Luke Steele back and look for a buyer. We aren’t a charity!!
Also, we shouln’t be helping Hull to win matches. Get Neil Clement back, with injuries with could do with him playing for The Albion.
Finally, Moore doesn’t look any better than MacDonald so start with Bednar & Phillips up front and use Miller & MacDonald as substitutes. Save money by sending Moore back to The Villa and loan a defender instead!

START WITH BEDNAR I DONT THINK SO MILLER ALL THE TIME FOR ME. THE BIG LAD IS GREAT HIM AND PHILLIPS ALL THE TIME FOR ME
