Whittington Airborne Weekend

staffs-regiment-museum.jpgThe Staffordshire Regiment Museum will once again be hosting a grand 1940s and World War Two event on Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th of March 2008, held at Whittington off the A51 between Lichfield and Tamworth.

Highlights will be a mock battle in which airborne forces of Britain and America take on the German Wehrmacht, along with around 100 re-enactors and displays of military vehicles.

Visitors will be able to view and discuss any aspects of the defining conflict of the 20th Century with these knowledgeable enthusiasts, and light refreshments will be available.

Gates open at 10am and finishes 4.30pm. Prices are £6 for adults, £3 for concessions or £15 for a family ticket.
