Carbon monoxide – know the risks

check-gas-appliances.jpg

When you are most at risk: Especially vulnerable are tenants living in properties which do not have propertly installed boilers, or where lazy landlords refuse to get regular checks.

Generally, you are at a greater risk of carbon monoxide poisoning if:

  • Your appliance was not installed correctly
  • Your appliance is not working properly
  • The appliance has not been safety checked and anually serviced
  • The room is not properly ventilated
  • Your chimney or flue is blocked

Always ensure your appiances are fitted and regularly checked by a CORGI registered installer.

Northern Gas are currently offering a FREE CO detector to expressandstar.com users - click here to get your free disc, or find out more about Northern Gas and their range of installation services.
