Celebrities including Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and footballer’s wives are treating their pampered pooches and cats to all the luxuries they enjoy themselves at home thanks to a Black Country furniture maker.
The megastar couple have ordered furniture for their pets at their Hollywood mansion after discovering the unique furniture being made by Pierre Farouz, owner of LP Furniture, based in Walsall. Former Wolves and Walsall manager Colin Lee’s wife Linda is also a customer having bought settees for her cat and dog.
Sky pundit Andy Gray’s wife Rachel Lewis has also purchased furniture from the company. The furniture maker offers all the comfort and luxury for man’s best friend and lovers of the feline variety.
His new furniture collection called Claws and Paws has only been up and running for a month but it is already proving to be a huge success.
Mr Farouz, aged 52, who has been running his business in Short Acre Street for the last 20 years, is aiming the market at celebrities, footballers wives or rich business people who want their own pets to enjoy the same luxury and comforts of home that they enjoy.
Customers who want to order furniture for themselves can also order a specially made mini version for their pet so that both owner and pet can enjoy the same comforts side by side. Prices for the chairs and settees range from around £250 to £1,400.
Mr Farouz has produced this unique collection he says due to demand from owners who want to treat their pets to a stylish lifestyle.
The furniture is made of solid beech wood with the same details and carving as the full size adult version. He makes stylish chairs and settees for the pets but said he could make furniture to order including four poster beds. “The furniture is luxurious and I have aimed it at a luxury market,” Mr Farouz said.
“I think it will be the perfect gift for the customer who wants to give his or her pet that little extra luxury and comfort at home - the same as they themselves enjoy.
