X prove too good with victories

netball1.jpgHaving beaten Grasshoppers 30-10, Whitmore X went on to clinch a second win of the evening over Chasers but this time by one goal only.

Chasers’ mother and daughter defence partnership, Lin and Nike Evans, contained Whitmore’s shooting duo of Mandy Fellows and Vicki Rock for most of the game but experience tipped the balance.

Also in Division One of the Wolverhampton City Netball League, Wednesfield went into an impressive early lead against Sam 2 who, after a revival talk at half-time, steadied their passing in the second half and managed to draw back to within two goals at the final whistle.

In Division 3 Breezers’ Dawn Townsend shot long goal from the edge of the circle which, with the

performance of Jo Mack as Goal Attack, managed to keep Breezers on target.

However, opposition J & G Builders’ Megan Sullivan and Kerry Davies created equalising goals plus the two extra needed for their win.
