Greenhill 1 Feckenham 1

goal.jpgOn Saturday Greenhill FC drew 1-1 at Feckenham Reserves in the second leg of the Mid Com Challenge Vase, which means they go through to the final, winning 3-2 of aggregate.

The tie was level within 10 minutes when a deflected Feckenham free-kick flew into the Greenhill net.

In extremely windy conditions the game was tight but Greenhill started to get on top in the second half with Dan Porter coming close with a header.

The tie was still level in extra time and manager Steve Newton introduced Jimmy Robinson from the bench, who hit the winner after 104 minutes, scoring from an extremely tight angle after the Feckenham keeper made a mistake and gave the ball away.

Greenhill face Castle Vale in the final, date and venue to be confirmed. Next week Greenhill host Continental Star reserves, 3pm KO.
