No game again this weekend, I blame Paddy Kenny for letting that goal in last week, writes Villa blogger Gregg Williams.
Boro are still in the FA Cup and consequently our game has been shifted to next Wednesday.
On another website you can go through all the games for the rest of the season, making score predictions to give a final league table.
Naturally I had to try it myself, and the process of going through all the fixtures really made me realise how interesting the rest of the season could be.
I’d forgotten that Liverpool and Everton have to play each other, and that Liverpool face trips to the Emirates and Old Trafford.
Liverpool also play Blackburn, while Everton will have to travel to St Andrews and Craven Cottage to face teams fighting for Premiership survival, as well as play ourselves, Arsenal and Chelsea.
In fact Birmingham can have a massive bearing on our final league placing as Liverpool, Everton and Blackburn will all have to go there in the coming weeks.
I really hope they win all three games, because that could make all the difference to us.
We have a lot of winnable games but who knows how injuries and bad luck could cost us at some stage.
My final prediction looks pretty realistic, with Villa finishing sixth behind Liverpool in fourth and Everton in fifth.
Man Utd to win the title by four points ahead of Arsenal.
Blackburn will finish only one point behind us if I am correct, which shows how tight it could be.
I must warn you that when it comes to predicting Villa results I err on the side of pessimism, so maybe I am doing the lads a disservice.
As for the foot of the table, I am relegating Bolton, Fulham and Derby, with Birmingham and Newcastle ending up disappointingly safe by six and five points respectively.
Personally I would be happy with sixth place as long as it means European qualification, as that would be another season of progress.
I guess we have to hope that Man Utd and Chelsea meet in the cup final which would mean that sixth is indeed good enough.
It’s going to be tense stuff in the coming weeks and it really is great to be looking upwards for once, for us Villa fans it’s been too long.
