School plan tribute to Leanne

Leanne MooreThe school where tragic hit-and-run victim Leanne Moore used to work is considering dedicating a memorial in her honour.

The 25-year-old mother of a 10-month-old baby girl, Sophie, was due to celebrate her first Mother’s Day on Sunday when she was knocked down and killed just after midnight as she returned from a night out in Cradley.

She was a cleaner at Windsor High School, Halesowen, and staff there want to commemorate the life of their “gold-hearted” former colleague.

But officers today said the vehicle had not been identified as stolen.

Keith Sorrell, head at the school in Richmond Street, said cleaners and teachers were “devastated” by Leanne’s death.

“It has come as a great shock. We are all trying to come to terms with it,” he said.
