Walsall strengthened their grip on the League One Play-off places with a 1-0 victory over relegation threatened Luton at Kenilworth Road.

Stefan Moore enjoyed a dream start to his Walsall career when he found himself all alone in the penalty area in the third minute and tapped the ball in from close range.

The solitary goal was enough to earn the Saddlers the victory in a game of few chances.

Luton did have the ball in the net ten minutes from time but it was ruled out for a foul on Walsall keeper Clayton Ince.

The Saddlers stay in fifth place, four points above seventh spot.

pleasing result - clean sheets are mounting up - I think I predicted the score as well - how are Coventry doing recently?!

Great result, it was a game where we had to pick up maximum points, nice to see Moore score on his debut.
