Stafford Rangers 0 Farsley Celtic 2
Stafford manager Steve Bull’s dream home debut against fellow strugglers Farsley Celtic failed to come off as Rangers lost 2-0.
The pressure of the bumper crowd and the injury crisis could have got to the Stafford players who worked hard but never really got on top of a workmanlike Farsley side who seemed to be boosted by the packed ground.
And after a number of near misses Stafford eventually went behind after 25 minutes.
Farsley’s Watson got to the byline and his cross picked out Torpey at the far post whose powerful downward header gave Allock no chance.
Bully roared his team on from the sideline as Rangers battled for

Good luck Bully. After watching your lads today I think you might need it. Grayson was the best player and he’s as old as you! I hope Liam Hughes has more to offer once he settles in.
Better luck next time Bully. Too bad there is so many miles from Copenhagen to Stafford. Would have loved to be there and cheer you on.
GOOD LUCK BULLY YOU ARE GOING TO NEED IT,CAME DOWN WITH A FEW WOLVES FRIENDS TO CHEER ON YOUR HOME DEBUT AS A MANAGER,BLIMEY I DON’T KNOW THE INJURY CRISIS OR BEST PLAYERS BUT IT WAS A POOR PERFORMANCE. YOUNG LIAM NEVER GOT INTO THE GAME AND TOO MANY WAYWARD PASSES, THINK YOU BETTER GO KNOCKING ON MATES DOORS AND LOAN PLAYERS TO BOLSTER THE TEAM AS I RECON YOU NEED AT LEAST 5 NEW PLAYERS TO ADD SOMETHING TO THE TEAM BUT FINANCE TOO RESTRICTED AT THAT LEVEL… ALL THE BEST
My first ever visit to Stafford and I am sorry the presence of hundreds of Wolves fans could not bring you luck. Great to see Robert Plant there after the plug he pinched off Adrian the Baggie on BBC1. Good luck Steve in your battle to stay up.
unlucky Bully but have to say I think your going down, no flai in your team and all the coaching in the world probably wont be enough for the current crop.
Maybe we’d have done better if we’d had a striker who could time headers properly or was willing to compete for the ball! Sorry to say this but if Liam Hughes is the best the Wolves Academy has to offer then you have problems of your own at Molineux. I don’t recall him winning a header or a 50:50 ball for the entire match and if your striker never wins the ball then you don’t stand much of a chance of winning! As someone else has said, he was completely shown up in the commitment department by Neil Grayson who’s 24 years older and gave his usual display of 90-minute 110% commitment to the cause (whether or not it be a lost one this season).
Will be at Kiddi tomorrow their form has dipped and i hope an away day can change SR’s fortunes.
Farsley was nothing short of a disasterous result but its not over til its over. So best of luck tomorrow, perhaps stick with the team that was winning before the new additions. Make the new boys earn a place. Maybe Street and Grayson to start upfront go 4-3-3 if we’re trailing at half time. I felt the right side was weak defensively and could do with a boost.
You need battlers at this level. Grayson eptomises what’s required.
Unlucky Bully.Hopefully we can pick up some more points and stay up.Good Luck for the future:)
