Walsall sign striker

9475462.jpgWalsall have signed former Aston Villa striker Stefan Moore until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has agreed a deal to stay at the Banks’s Stadium after impressing on trial at the club.

Walsall boss Richard Money has known Moore since his days as a youth team coach at Villa Park and said today he was delighted to bolster the Saddlers’ frontline.

He said: “Stefan is a very intelligent frontman.

“I have known him for a long time and know exactly what he is capable of.

“He was full of promise as a youngster at Aston Villa and I feel that we may have got him at the right time in his career.

“His movement is excellent and he will get into the right positions to score goals.

“He has been brought up the right way and I am delighted to have secured his services.

“He is a welcome addition to our squad and this deal will be beneficial to all concerned.”

Moore is in contention to make his debut at Luton Town tomorrow.

The striker played 30 games for Villa before joining Queens Park Rangers in 2005.

But he has struggled at the London club and left Loftus Road in January.

I always believe in “give the guy a chance” before knocking him down.

Obviously your comment coming from the guy who burnt his lips on the exhaust pipe when asked to blow a car up.

All the best to the Saddlers & Stefan Moore, hope promotion becomes a reality.
