A few years ago I was lucky enough to attend the dinner held in honour of Sir Bert Millichip getting his knighthood (oooh get me…)
It was real posh affair and I had the opportunity to meet many of these guys as they were our players at that time, and can confirm they were a great bunch of guys and Ossie is a real gentlemen.
Its great that they should receive this honour - it may only have been the league 1 playoffs but they are a wembley winning team and will always be able to say that.
Well done guys and well done Albion for putting this together !!
Any win at Wembley is a moment to treasure. What a great day out it all was and what pleasure that season was too after the kick and rush rubbish of the relegation season. The diamond formation, Ossie’s legacy and he turned out to be a diamond too.
I was gutted that I could not attend last night I have been to the last two (68 cup dinner and the 75/76 promotion dinner) they really are great evenings of nostalgia.
Looking at the photographs simon garner looks thinner now than when he played lol.
Nice to see Dave Matthews included. As kit man he has been there long enough to see about 15 managers.
Reading the names I didn’t realise Barry White had ever played for the Baggies
I was there last night and it was a fantastic night…..look out for more from the Supporters Club
