Bubbly Dainty Grace Reynolds poses on the front of a magazine cover and leaves the three-year-old’s parents bursting with pride.
After their baby daughter Trinity died following medical blunders at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, the youngster has helped to heal Simon and Tracie Reynolds’ heartache.
And now, as Mother’s Day approaches on Sunday, the beautiful daughter that has lit up their lives is brightening up even more after she was chosen to grace the front cover of a national magazine.
Dainty was picked to appear as one of two cover girls for Nursery World, a magazine series about children’s thinking which is available in shops such as WHSmith and circulated throughout the country.
“Dainty is is the joy of our lives,” said 40-year-old Tracie, from Bushbury.
“I have no idea what we would have done if she had not arrived.
“To see her now on the front cover of this magazine so near to Mother’s Day is just so lovely.
“She is the most wonderful, thoughtful, intelligent girl and the fact that she has been chosen for this at this time of year just makes it all the more special.”
Young Dainty Grace was snapped up to appear on the cover catching the eye of magazine bosses who visited Bushbury Nursery where she attends.
The nursery is just a stone’s throw from where her late sister Trinity is buried.
“There is not a day that goes by that she is not thought about and talked about,” added Tracie.
The 9lb 2oz baby died shortly after being born after a catalogue of mistakes by New Cross medics in 2003.
But following an overhaul, the hospital’s rebuilding of its reputation continued this month when the Healthcare Commission declared maternity services were “better improving” – the second highest ranking available.
“Trinity was the catalyst and I feel proud that she did that,” said Tracie.
“I can’t thank New Cross enough for everything they have been doing to make improvements.”

It’s sad to hear that a woman lost her baby due to the lack of competence of staff at the New Cross Hospital. However the incompetence of the doctors and staff does not surprise me in any way, it is patently obvious that the doctors are overburdened with the arrogance that they carry around with them.
I am a former nurse and I still believe the majority of health care workers in the NHS are sincere, caring, hard working and focused people.
My heart goes out to the family above and it is great a positive thing has come out of such tragedy.
