Match report for Lane Head Vipers (U13) - man of the match: Charlie Godwin    

After a 2 week lay off Vipers looked very rusty. Stafford opened the scoring with a long shot cleared from a corner very early in the first half.

Stafford then played with 5 defenders and although Lane Head had most of the ball they could not find an opening.

On a couple of occasions Stafford broke out of  their own half and Charlie Godwin pulled off two magnificent saves.

Half Time 1-0

Second half continued in the same vain although Stafford improved going forward, still Lane Head peppered Staffords goal.

Lane Head eventually broke the resistance with five minutes remaining with a hard,low shot from Emily Butler.

The game opened up in the last five minutes and either side could have taken the three points.

Vipers two new girls Abbie Pearce and Sophie Boulton both played well during their game with Vipers
