Albion scorer Roman Bednar blasted referee Steve Tanner for failing to clamp down on Hull’s rough-house tactics.
Bednar accused the Tigers of roughing up the Baggies and claimed the official should have used red cards to punish the visitors.
“I think we had some unlucky decisions from the referee,” said Bednar.
“Some of them were unbelievable. A minute before the last goal there was a definite foul on Leon Barnett.
“Somebody went under him and he fell so that has to be a foul for me.
“They are only small decisions and you could say they weren’t important, but all decisions are important and I didn’t feel anything went the other way.
“I think the players tried their best and we just need to keep going.
“I thought we were unlucky.
“I don’t know how many yellow cards they had but I think at least two people should be been sent off.
“After ‘Robbo’ won his first ball and made contact with the player their gaffer was shouting that there must be a card. It was a hard tackle but a clean tackle.
“I think some of them don’t go for the ball, they just go for you.
“We have to be unhappy with some decisions by the referee.
“I’m not against hard football but I am against people who don’t want to play the ball and just want to play you. A couple of times they didn’t look at the ball they just looked at me and I think that’s wrong.”
Bednar also explained manager Tony Mowbray’s decision to substitute him mid-way through the second half.
“I was a little bit ill again with the same illness I had weeks ago,” he said.
“I was ill so I was a bit tired but we still had a team that was strong enough to win without me.
“I thought we were unlucky.
“The result is the most important thing and we didn’t get it so it’s very disappointing.
“The whole team feel very bad.
“The game was very tight but we don’t want to draw games so we tried to win it and they broke and scored goals.
“Sometimes, especially at the end of the first half, we had so many chances.
“We started the second half well and in the end, when we were losing 2-1, Zoltan had a big chance so it was very unlucky for us.
“We cannot feel too bad about it because it’s a hard season.
“We just need to look at another game and not be sad or upset because there is another game and we need another three points.
“A couple of players played very well and I feel very bad for us.
“The second goal was a deflection and the first one was a brilliant strike and sometimes you can’t do anything even if you close him early.
“Sometimes if the striker does everything 100 per cent right you just cannot defend against him.
“When he hits the top corner like that you cannot do anything.”

Wolves have the most moany fans, Albion have the most whingy players!
I agree about some of the challenges and “pro” fouls where a bit over the top, but thats what happens when a team cant compete football skill wise.
Its no good moaning “kick em back” springs to mind!!!
We all know that football wise there is not a team that comes close to Albion in the league. Teams are not just going to lets us pass the ball around them they are going to kick our players up in the air. If the boot where on the other foot we would be doing the same.
The referee was poor on saturday but by no means did this have any bearing on the result. Yes he could have sent a player or 2 off from Hull but Morrision kicked the ball away twice when a decision was given against him and he did not send him off.
Regards
Baggie Boy
michael kightley has hardly played since we played the albion…say no more.
If one of our players injured him (which I doubt) then he must be VERY fragile.
at last someone speaks up,,,every team we play are trying to do a stoke city on us,,if thats the kind of football there fans enjoy then goodluck to um,,but i enjoy watching football, proper football,,thats why i will always be forever albion,,like i said before maybe justice will be done come may,,,,,if theres a football god prem here we come,,,from a fan,PROPER FOOTBALL FAN.
5. Proper football fan you are. Well done.
disapointing performance from the albion for me have seen alot better this season i still don’t like mowbray! why change a winning side and the changes he made saturday whay a joke aint saying knowmore tony tony clueless!!!
we have the team we have the faith we dont have the right manager!!!!!!
we have the team we have the faith we dont have the right manager!!!
TONY BRAINLESS!!!!!!! DROP KIELY!!!!!!
Poor Baggie players getting roughed up a bit! Its a man’s game not netball! Anyway how can the Baggies complain about roughhand tactics when they have got the biggest thug in the Championship in Robinson playing for them! Just accept Hull were a better team and deserved their win. Excuses are a sign the Baggies players are cracking under pressure! Play offs at best!
Kelly,go to hell you idiot we dont need so called supporters like you,the manager picks the team to suit who we play against (big, little ,strong ,weak etc)
so you can`t have the same team from us every week with the style of football we play.We have one of the best young managers in the country producing arguably the best football in the championship as stated by other managers so do you know better than them….NO.. so shut up if you cant come on here with sensible comments. KELLY BRAINDEAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is he a man.
footballs a contact sport if he doesnt like it maybe he should take up a none contact sport,.Big baby!!!!
now albion really are like arsenal, moaning about the other teams not letting them play
Steve Tanner is an inconsistant ref, irrespective of who’s playing, and that was demonstrated on Saturday. There is, however, a world of difference between being physical and deliberately hacking people down.
I also feel a lecture on football from a Wolves supporter equates with a Nun giving sex education.
you go on about robbo injuring your kites, if i remember rightly he actually moved to the opposite side of the pitch cause he was scared - and his mom wasnt there to hold his hand - and still played for a bit before going off injured so STOP going on about robbo. totally agree with baggiebob there is a difference and hull were playing the hacking game, look at the jump into albie when he was already off his feet and their player came barging in and shoulder straight into midrif, not even looking for ball, lunge at gera when he was on a clear run player just took him straight out, again didnt even look where ball was only player, this isnt football or professional fouling, gamesmanship this is downright thuggish
And Robinson is an angel?
It’s a Mans game, get over it instead of whinging!
hark at kent wilf,,one of wolves biggest whingers,,,oh i forgot the dingles won one this week didnt they,,if you dont like us whinging stay on your own pages,,,,
you need to grow up if you think kites moved to the other side of the pitch because he was scared.
a lot of wingers and strikers rotate.
and as for wolves fans talking about playing football so because wolves arent in the top six means our fans dont know nothing.
Robbo only knows how to hack people down.
and as for being thuggish youve got the biggest most childish thug in the football league.
grow up and play the mans game.
I used to play regular amateur sunday morning footie, not a place for the faint hearted some of those leagues…but nevertheless, a foul is a foul is a foul…all day long!
I didn’t mind rough house tactics or getting kicked (but would rather not obviously) so long as you got the free-kicks and a strong ref (very few pub league refs are strong)to deal with illegal & dangerous challenges.
Hull were a little physical (like Stoke), nothing wrong with that at all, in fact fair play to them - but when they foul you or go over the top you expect the ref to deal with it appropriatly!
The ref on sat was weak and allowed Hull to get away with 1 or 2 over the top challenges but having said that i would agree the reason we lost was our combination of our own short comings and hulls well executed game plan, they deserved their win you can’t take that away from them.

i keep telling my wolves mate that robbo owned kightly, yet their comeback was that kightly was rushed back for the albion game. So Robbo did not injure him..I still remeber when Robbo crippled Kighlty and won a free kick

id rather moan about other teams not letting us play than crying for the beloved kightly. ALBION = PROPER FOOTBALL WOLVES = HOOF!!
Cov Baggie.
I think you’ll find that it’s Loyal Kelly Wolf or one of the other morons from over there. As I’ve said before, don’t mind them slagging us off on here, it’s a good laugh but this pretending to be a Baggie is pathetic.
No number 17! Real men don’t cheat to win. There are rules which allow shoulder-to-shoulder charges, slide tackling, head to head ball challenging, proper one-on-one man-against-man bravery. There are rules to prevent ‘over the ball shin breaker’ tackles, raising the boot to head height and kicking a bloke’s teeth in, scything a man from waist down, shirt-pulling, tripping, etc. If you don’t know the difference then you haven’t seen any football in a long, long time. Men have always fought each other. The difference in my day was you picked a man up when you’d knocked him down, (or vice-versa). These days three or more thugs kick ick a bloke to death and think it’s OK.
Post 23. I see from your comments you have been watching WBA for a LONG LONG LONG time then. When you mention shin breakers, raising the boot to head height kicking a blkes teeth in etc etc.
Remember George N’Dah to name just one.
Up the Villa BOING BOING.
Yes No.24. I remember Matt Carbon well and HATED him for that tackle on N’Dah. I was seated just a few yards from the incident. They lock people up for that sort of assault and battery. So did Meggo later it would appear as he couldn’t wait to get rid of him.
