Tividale 0 Dudley Sports 2

Dudley Sports started the game well with there back four looking strong and comfortable, and there forwards moving forward quickly at pace.

Tividale like to pass the ball around and that was noticeable again with Tividales back four passing the ball around between themselves but not really creating anything and Sports comfortable to let them have it.

Sports went in front when Grant Joshua picked up another stray ball from the back four and hit a crossword pass into the path of Chris Raybone, he then raced past the back line and lifted the ball over the advancing keeper for an outstanding goal.

Tividale did have one shot in the first half. Chris Smith turned and fired a good shot but Jay Trav in the sports goal was well equal to it.

The second half started the same way with Dale probably having 70% of the ball but with no cutting edge at all.

Sports back four again looked comfortable and when Sports did go forward they always looked dangerous, it was from one of these attack Sports could have gone further in front, Ross Harris meeting a Matt Taylor cross with a bullet header but his header hit the bar and went wide.

Harris was again causing Tividale problems when he raced clear and fired in a great shot that again hit the bar and bounced away.

With ten minutes left Sports went further in front when Matt Bridgwater flicked on a corner at the near post and there was Ross Harris who fired home from close range for his deserved goal.

There was to be no ding-dong end to the game, the game petered out with Sports moving through to the next round.
