Bully would be perfect says Stan

Steve BullSteve Bull today won the backing of Stan Collymore as the “perfect” appointment to win his first managerial job at Stafford Rangers.

Wolves legend Bull has been approached for the Rangers hotseat as they seek a replacement for Phil Robinson, who quit in December.

Bull has no managerial experience but has always expressed a wish to manage and even said recently he’d love to become a strikers’ coach at Molineux.

Collymore, who watched and admired Bull as a Wolves apprentice before joining Stafford, believes the record Molineux goalscorer would be ideal man to lead the club forwards.

“I think he’d be perfect – he’s get bums on seats, I think the players would respect him, and he wouldn’t take any nonsense from anyone.

“I had him on my ‘Soccer Night’ programme a few weeks ago and he still has a massive enthusiasm for the game.

“And I think his contacts with clubs such as Wolves, whereby he could tap up Mick McCarthy for one or two of their younger players on loan, would make it a great move.

“I don’t think he’s have a problem with communication.

“I think there would be one or two Tipton expletives ringing through the air at Marston Road if he got the job and didn’t get his way, that’s for sure.

“I think at 42, it’s the perfect time for him to try his hand at it – if he doesn’t like it, he can always walk away or the club can sack him. He should give it a go.”

Collymore believes Bull’s record as a goalscorer means he could pass on tips to Stafford’s strikers too.

Good luck to Bully hope he gets the job at Stafford. Here we have a man whose got his coaching badges, played for England scored over 300 goals for Wolves, has gold and black running through his veins,Wolves have had a striker crisis all season why haven’t Wolves used Bully in some sort of capacity as a couch in this department.Another question i would love to ask Jez and MM.
