Villa renew keeper bid

Villa will relaunch their attempt to sign £2m goalkeeper Brad Guzan in the summer, boss Martin O’Neill revealed today.

O’Neill missed the chance to sign the 23-year-old Chivas USA keeper in the January transfer window after a panel rejected Villa’s appeal for a work permit.

But O’Neill is keen to try again when the window re-opens after agreeing a price to beat Celtic to the player’s signature.
