Frickley took the lead against the run of play in the 15th minute when the Pitmen failed to clear a thrown-in and Neil Towler pounced.

Scott was beaten in the 38th minute when Towler beat Brown at the back post to tap home Lee Morris’s cross from the right.

And in the 67th minute he was unable to stop Towler completing his hat-trick.

The afternoon got even worse for the Pitmen in the 70th minute when Lee Morris added a fourth.
