Dudley Sports only have themselves to blame for not picking up all three points on Saturday.
The first half was a scrappy affair with Sports kicking against a very strong wind and playing against a much-improved Ludlow side, Ludlow at times looked dangerous in possession but lacked any cutting edge.
The first real Sports attack lead to the opening goal when Andy Blakeley curled in a great free kick the ball fell invitingly to Ross Harris who inside the six yard box tapped home.
The half finished with both teams struggling in difficult conditions.

The second half was dominated by Sports; Ludlow struggled to get out of there own half at times with Sports dominating possession.
Sports should have gone further in front in the 55th
The next chance that went begging fell to Anthony Cox who raced clear of the Ludlow defence but fired hopelessly wide from close range.
With half a hour to go Sports sent on new signing Ashley Greenaway a mid week signing from Lye Town who has twenty four goals this season.
He made a immediate impact racing clear to and cut a great ball back from the by line for Grant Joshua who was standing in-side the six yards box with no defender near him, with every one expecting the ball to finish up in the net Joshua miss hit is shot and the ball finished up five yards wide.
There is a saying in football, things come back to bite you and that is exactly what happened a routine cross from a Ludlow defender in the 85th minute saw a mix up in the penalty area leaving keeper Jay Trav and defender Matt Taylor lying on the floor after colliding with each other this left the only Ludlow player forward the easiest chance he will ever have and he took it leveling the scores.
This was points thrown away Sports played well and created chances but it was one of those days hopefully there will not be to many of them.
