Moxey ‘pleased’ with transfers

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey says the club has strengthened in all of its target areas. Do you agree?

The club says the signing of George Elokobi will be its “final” move of the window. See also: Wolves land defender George Elokobi

Moxey said: “We’re very pleased with our transfer activities during window. We’ve managed to sign players for all the positions the manager wanted to strengthen and we hope each of them will, in their own way, help the team over the remaining months of the season.”

In other deadline day transfers, Jamie Clapham’s contract was terminated and he joined Leicester City.

Elliott Bennett, Matt Bailey and Charlie Mulgrew went on loan to Bury, Kidderminster and Southend respectively.

I personally think we have spent very wisely in the window. Maybe we lack a bit of cutting edge sometimes, which is what you need to get out of this division, but MM has moulded an ambitious and down to earth squad that will take us places when given time to gel. Even if Abramovic took over at Wolves :) I don’t believe it is in MM’s nature to spend loads willy nilly. We must have patience now and give the team and the staff all our support. A few good results from now, could be the difference between us going up or staying in this damned division for another year.

    Come on me babbies!

No this is spin. All knowledgeable Wolves supporters can see where we lack in certain departments. A poor golfer cannot be supported with these comments.

Can’t complain, think Kyle gives us an alternative gameplan and would expect to see him on the bench. He’ll certainly give the wide men something to aim at (and Collins). Don’t know much about Elokobi, hope he can play at centre half - that is the one area we do need to strengthen.

Terrific! More subs bench fodder, waiting for either the call to action or the breaking of spirits.

Well once again no strong central defender with pace, one more no creative central midfielder.
I presume Mick thinks we don’t need to strenghten there?

Im happy with the transfers to date. But I think we still need a pacey CB I went to watch a non-league game the other week Telford against Redditch and one player called Exodus Geohagan for Redditch stood out for me amazing pace and a long throw which is like a cross gd in the air and chips in with a few goals!

Dingle Shandee are you drunk mate? Are you getting kightly mixed up with Jarvis or are you just not playing Jarvis? Also I can’t see olifinjana getting back in the team!!

Well done Moxey, good business!!! Credit where it’s due!!!

I think we have stengthened in all the right areas (except maybe Kyle upfront which i don’t think we needed). I am confident this team/squad can now get us in the top for minimum!!!

    Come on you Wolves!

edwards and ebanks-blake are great buys. elokobi seems good value too, but i don’t think kyle will add anything. if anything its just going to unsettle the strikers even more than they are, there are already too many substitutions and rotation up front. If ebanks blake had been dragged off at 60 mins we wouldnt have got the last minute winner on tuesday.

Steve Morgan, thanks for opening your cheque book though and well done to everyone at wolves, i think we have done pretty well.

Not suprised moxey is pleased - Morgan gave him £15 mill to spend in the window and said “keep the change”…

If all you can do at every opportunity is to knock the efforts of MM,JM & Mr Morgan, grab yourself a Tesco carrier bag & go support the Albion!
I ’spose you’ll still be moaning if we get promoted.
