Sainsbury’s has boosted its hope of creating Wombourne’s first supermarket by submitting plans for a multi-million pound store.
Bosses hope to build the store at Heath Mill Road industrial estate.
The move comes as Wolverhampton Council chiefs were meeting today to decide whether Sainsbury’s or Tesco will win a tussle to develop the Raglan Street site in Wolverhampton.
