
Over 140 studio and penthouse apartments in The Cube West were sold to off-plan investors last year, and this year will see the last available apartments go on sale to owner occupiers in Cube East, the final phase of this eye-catching development. But at what cost? To live in that city you have to be extremely rich - you have to be very well off just live anywhere half-decent in this area.
Given the choice between a shark-infested island like this, I’m sure a lot of potential tenants will simply opt for cheaper, more spacious environments. Birmingham needs to get it’s act together if it wants to attract people and this isn’t the way forward, not for the majority. I’d rather live in a big house in Europe.
