Dave Semper and Dave Taylor lost ground on the leaders as they slipped to a 21-16 defeat at the hands of Nick and John Newey, and are now joined on fourteen points by Dave Goddard and Gary Cooper, who maintained their remarkable run thanks to a a close 21-19 victory over Barry Farr and Dan Taylor.
Kevin and Darryl Handley got back to winning ways with a comprehensive 21-12 defeat of Wilson and Fellows.
