So what happened to getting a defender with a bit of pace? We’ve only been waiting 18 months so far.
Apparently Albion have made a cash offer for Danek. His agent is being quoted as saying -
“It is not my place to reveal the offer but it is a big and significant offer which I believe Plzen will want to accept. Michal is very excited that things are now moving along. He has been monitoring West Bromwich’s results and wants to be there as soon as possible.”
Mowbray has said “…it’s a position we want to create more competition in and trying to improve.”
If correct (no reason to believe it’s not) then it tells us three things.
1. Mowbray wants Danek enough to convince Peace to make a firm bid as they won’t let him go on loan.
2. Peace is willing to release the funds if Mowbray can convince him it’s the right thing to do.
3. Mowbray doesn’t think our back up keepers are good enough.
Now Tony, can you convince Mr Peace to release funds for an experienced centre half who can organise our back line?

Wolves need 2 Centre Backs And 1 Left Back and by then we should just about kill the baggie bashers by 4 or 5.

Great news if true…do you fancy a job with the E&S, as they have had little to report recently on any Albion transfer talk.
By the way comment 5, is what you would expect from a Dingle, they live in a dream world of exiting football, goals a plenty and a return to the premiership. So any comment containing the meerest of factual information not only bores them but it gets in the way of their reality.

Actually I found it quite interesting and re-assuring that we are still chasing Danek so ssssshhhhh
I am a Wolves fan, but have heard Darren Moore as advised his best mate Linvoy Primus (Portsmouth)to take the move to WBA,if they follow up thier interest with a bid.If MM reads this wouldnt be a bad move for us????We still need a left back get the lad Fox from Walsall.
Thanks for the offer scottbloke, but at 34, 35 at the start of next season, I would not see him being a proposition for us at all, other than a loan deal till the end of the season.
However alongside Breen and Craddock, you may have something there a bit of youth at the back for you.
I love Darren Moore to bits but Albion need a Darren Moore that can play football and pass
Though Big Dave served Albion well in his time there, I feel after watching him on recent TV highlights, he is too slow & past it now.
Best remember him for the player he was.

The way forward now would be either with our own lads improving or for next season getting Cahill in from Villa - how about Cahill, Luke Moore and Sorenson for Davies ?
