Jones to return to Wolves in Feb

jones.jpgWolves will bring back Daniel Jones from his loan spell at Northampton at the end of the month.

Jones has made a big impact at Sixfields and caught the eye with a stunning free-kick goal for the Cobblers at the weekend.

Northampton boss Stuart Gray is hoping to secure Jones until the end of the season but McCarthy wants to bring back the Academy graduate.

“I haven’t spoken to Stuart Gray yet but my intention is still to bring DJ back at the end of the month,” McCarthy said.

If Jones does return, he will be competing with the apparently rejuvenated Matt Jarvis for a role on the left of midfield.

Lets hope the match practise he’s gained there will spur him on to get into the first team, playing regularly.
    Good Luck DJ

Good news…..scored a corkin free kick the weekend.

If we are not signing another full back then we certainly need him back. I think he will make a decent full back rather than the wing position we used him in sometimes last season.

    agreed with 3

and be nice to see the odd good set piece even if it comes to no good, but when we get freekicks i know theyll be taken short and quickly or hit wall or go over

better choice for left back he shoulld at least give him a game there. The choice is so obvious its frustrating.
    1. D Jones for Jarvis, who can beat players and take people on whereas jones likes to put croses in and overlap as he is A LEFT BACK.
    Or
    2. D Jones for michael gray, who is an extremely bad defender, extra height in defence would help, and he would also simply provide more energy to the team.
    Complete no-brainer for me

also to those who say he can defend because of one match where he got substituted after 45 mins in only his second first team game.
    A. That was over 2 years ago in a stagnant hoddle team
    B. Saw him 6/8 of his games last year and thought his tackling was one of his his best attributes.
    C. The biggest reason of all gray is Shockinly bad and has only performed since we have been linked with left backs. He brings very little to the team.
If our manager is brave enough to make this decision he will be rewarded

I see MM is bringing Jones back just as Jarvis starts playing well again - great timing !

All season with no left side but with a player out on loan, and he recalls him just when you don’t need him.

Maybe now that SEB has scored its time to get Freddy in… or buy another forward.

I LOVE reading these pages - its boring on ours as nothing wierd ever happens.

  15. NathanWolves said:

Fair point happy! Although DJ will play left back and not left wing, or that’s what the fans would do, mm will play him in goal!!

terrywalsallbaggie clearly has a multiple personality problem. having lots of personalities need not be too horrendous… however his problem is that all his personalities are moronic, immature and unfortunately seem to have a need to comment on our pages.

    Go away t-w-b

However I must say that HB is correct. His manager seems to make ordinary, sensible and easily understood decisions. While my biggest moan about Mick is that he doesn’t explain nowt…

However if the team is really in the process of ‘turning round’ the season, good luck to him. I will continue the faith.

Good point about Daniel Jones Happy Baggie although a consistent run in the Cobblers team will have done him a lot of good. And yes we do have a lot of fervent if not rabid fans. Life as a Wolves fan is never dull. `Out of darkness cometh light.` Try it some time. You know you’re a closet Wolves fan. You share many of our `weird` fans views and occasionally speak good sense probably accidentally.

Glad to see DJ is coming back - we just hope he gets a chance in the side!

Many people young and old struggle with computers. I always say they are simple really. Never has this been more apparent than in the case of terrywalsallbaggie. The man struggles to read and write, yet manages to log on, find our page and hit the keys on the key board (in no particular order or sequence) on a regular basis. Let that be a lesson to people unsure about computers.

GOOD TO SEE MR JONES RETURN, HE SHOWED GREAT PROMISE EARLY LAST YEAR, YOUNG. HUNGRY , STRONG , WITH SPEED TO GO FORWARD OR DEFEND. LETS SEE HIM ON SUBS BENCH SOON AND TAKE HIS CHANCE WHEN IT COMES.
ANY NEWS ON MARK DAVIES, HAS ANYONE SEEN HIM PLAY LATELY, WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS, TOO FAR AWAY TO KEEP PERSONAL CHECK BUT I DID THINK HE HAD THE POTENTIAL TO BE A FIRST PICKED PLAYER.

I have a mate who is a Cobblers fan, they really have rated Daniel, and I know will be sorry when he comes back, but come on MM, he he going to sit in the reserves ( at best ) ? Another mate is a Stockport County fan and said exactly the same about Stephen Gleeson….. a great player … where is he now ?
MM… rather than prop up our reserves team, i would much rather these kind of players stay in competitive games albeit at a lower level, then at least if need urgently can be recalled in some match sharp condition.

Some how I dont think Daniel will racing straight into the first XI !

Dear oh dear. It’s really funny when someone tries to be clever but only ends up looking a prat!
Would you like to enlighten us and explain what the word ’strengh’ means? Or is it mean’t to be ’strengTh’?
You really should stick to words of five letters or less although you can’t even get that right- in your sentence you should have used ‘you’re’ instead of ‘your’. TUT TUT! Always good for a laugh.

Proud to be a Wolves fan!

I’m sure Jones has always been a left back through all the youth teams etc. So this would be a good option. Gray went off on Saturday, anyone know if he was injured?

Re TWB not being able to spell, purile is spelt puerile. Nevertheless I agree with the many having a go at him but I suppose that part of the charm of these pages is the mix of mentalities. You have to put up with TWB, my heart bleeds for you, we get Wolves booboy, raythewolf, LCW, Southern wolf and a cast of idiots too great to credit all by name but like the cockroach, the flea and the rat they all play their part in God’s great scheme.

If your going to make quotes how about this one which sums up WBA supporters most adequately.
Hatred:- A sentiment appropriate to the occasion of another’s superiority.

    32 - Hatred ??

As the Albion fan who posts most on here I can assure you that i receive posts filled with bile, hatred and spite on a daily basis from wolves fans - but would defy you to find any hatred in the stuff i write..

Your foolish and narrow minded suggestion that hatred sums up albion fans is just another example of a closed small mind… 31’s point about us regularly putting up with idiots posting from your side is right - do we now add you to the ever growing list ?

It’s an unfortunate fact, that some posters of the bilge regularly available to read on these sites, is written by people of a reasonable I.Q.
Unfortunatly, they look upon it as BANTER.
“Hatred” defined by one online dictionary means Intense animosity or hostility & I’d like to distance myself from so called “FANS” of ANY team who practise this type of behaviour to one another.
