Man stabbed in head at airport

A 50-year-old man has been stabbed in the head during a fight at Birmingham Airport.

Police were called to the airport after a brawl broke out in the Millennium Walkway area linking terminals one and two.

Officers were called following reports of disorder around 9.35pm on Sunday.

A police spokesman said: “Three men, aged 43, 45 and 50 were injured. The 50-year-old man is currently in a critical condition with head injuries.”

The spokesperson added that 11 people, including ten men and one woman, were arrested in connection with the incident.

They currently remain in police custody, helping police with inquiries.
