Hairdressing salons in Kingswinford are being targeted by thieves smashing their way in and snatching trendy hair products.
Capability Brown Hair Design, in Charterfield Drive, was the latest to fall victim to what is believed by police to be a gang specifically targeting salons.
Alarms were set off at 3.05am today after a gas canister was hurled through the glass pane door. Police were called and a witness reported seeing a dark-coloured Fiesta speeding off.
Owner Graham Pritchard said today he had lost thousands of pounds worth of stock during the raid, which is not the first to happen in Kingswinford.
A spokesman from Snippers Unisex Salon in High Street confirmed it was broken into last Wednesday. The thieves returned to the same salon a day later, again throwing a gas canister through the window before snatching stock worth thousands of pounds. Witnesses should call 0845 113 5000.
