Roman Bednar scored the winning spot kick after Dean Kiely had saved Zheng Zhi’s effort.

West Brom had squandered a two-goal lead in normal time after a tap-in from Bednar and a low shot from James Morrison put them in the driving seat.

A Darren Ambrose shot for Charlton and a last-minute strike from Chris Dickson forced the game into extra-time.

For all the good football we play our team still know how to keep a cup tie tense.
Still we are through. I just hope the conditions have not taken too much out of the legs for saturday. I see TM has banned them from going shopping before saturdays match….heaven.

Still Boing Boing into the next round.

So if you get fed up of winning a game normally, why not add a bit of drama.

Seriously not the best of performances in poor weather conditions but we are through and winning in that way may give an extra buzz between the players.

Charlton reserves!!! Charlton made no changes from the weekend match, Have a go, but get your facts right. Look at the table and I think you will see Charlton are above you.

Not bad for a first attempt at a sentence. Try practicing for a few years, then come back and have another go. If English is not your first language this is even more creditable. Well Done.

    Zzzzzzz.
To anyone who’s come on here to talk about football. A performance that was good in parts. What stood out for me was the performance of the referee and his linesmen. This had the potential to be an excellent game but was almost ruined. He made no attempt to allow for the weather conditions and stopped the game for any suggestion of physical contact. Officials like this one seem to forget that football is an entertainment, his non stop use of the whistle made sure this never happened. I don’t think there was a dangerous tackle all night. I’m not anti referee, the one that handled the league game against Charlton was very good, last nights idiot should be made to watch him.

Charlton reserves huh? So Charlton must’ve played their reserve team in the league for the last 3 matches then seeing as last night’s line up was unchanged. If anything it was us that fielded a weakened lineup as we had no super Kev or Robbo in the team for various reasons. Its not as if Wolves enjoyed a smooth passage into the next round is it… seeing as you struggled against the mighty Cambridge.

A less than fluent performance but we won.
I believe that Charlton have played the same team for the three previous games so hardly a reserve team.
To be honest I would not have been heartbroken had we lost. Promotion is the priority and we must stay focussed.
To all the sad Dog Heads just look at the table and remember the convincing win you lot had over non-league Cambridge. Lets face it less than a goal a game at the custratd factory sounds thrilling doesn’t it.
    Ha Ha
