The flag outside Kidderminster divisional police headquarters was today flown at half-mast as a sign of respect for Community Support Officer and actor James Price, who died after a car crash on his way to work.
Father-of-two Mr Price, aged 27, was on his way to Bewdley police station when his silver Ford Fiesta was involved in an accident with a black Toyota Landcruiser, driven by a Bewdley man in his 50s.
Mr Price, who was certified dead at the scene of the crash on Saturday, held a drama degree from Birmingham University and regularly worked as an actor in minor roles, appearing in films such as Dead Man’s Shoes and The Libertine.
He had also appeared in television series such as Casualty and Dalziel and Pascoe and adverts for British Airways and Barclaycard.
Mr Price joined West Mercia Police two years ago and was shortly to take up training as a student police officer.
Today colleagues said they had been “shocked and devastated” by his death.

Such a tragedy, such a loss. I do not know Mr James price but my thoughts and prayers go to the family and his children. Having suffering the same loss 6 months ago in the same town, it is such a painfull tragedy and a huge shock to lose a loved one so young and in such a horrific way.
Amazing how much he has achieved in such a short life, he will never be forgotten by his loved ones and collegues. Hope he rests in peace and god brings peace to his family.
